Christopher Michael "Chris" Hall (born November 26, 1986 in Manchester, England) is an English former football striker who used to play for Oldham Athletic and now plays for Stalybridge Celtic.

Football career

Oldham Athletic

Hall made his debut for Oldham on October 10 2003 in Oldham's 2-2 away draw at Peterborough United. He made seven starts and 34 substitute appearances in the 2002-03 season, scoring only four goals in his career - all in the Fa Cup competition, and struggled to gain a starting place in the first team because of better quality strikers ahead of him pushing for regular starts.

Oldham wanted to set up a meeting with Hall in May 2007 after he went AWOL, failing to show up for treatment on a broken leg, with Oldham fining him two weeks' wages.[1] Hall retired from professional football, citing 'personal reasons', on 4 June 2007.[2] These are likely to be an attempt at celebrity which has so far only lead to acting work in a local theatre.

On the 9th of July 2007 he was announced as a player for Conference North team Stalybridge Celtic.

Outside football

Full Monty

Spotted in a bar, Hall was asked to join a show based on the Full Monty, playing the part of Horse. The show ran for two nights in a local theatre but his performance did not earn good reviews. He has also toured local schools with a production of Exceeding Expectations and looks like carrying on with minor acting work supported by his drama GCSE.

Big Brother

Hall was rumoured to be entering Big Brother 2007 in a special live show on 1 June 2007 but this never came about. He has also attempted to use BBC3 reality television to raise his profile.[3]
