Pretty Fly... for a What?

Is it 'Pretty Fly for a Jedi', or 'Pretty Fly for a Rabbi'?

Rabbi. It's the third track on his 1999 alubm Running with Scissors. Al's two Star Wars songs are called "Yoda" (a parody of "Lola") and "The Saga Begins", (a parody of "American Pie"). As far as I know, to date no one (Al or otherwise) has recorded a song called "Pretty Fly (for a Jedi)", although you can find some random people who have written such a song [1], and Al has stated in interviews that he did at one point consider writing "The Saga Begins" to the tune of "Pretty Fly (for a White Guy)" and calling it "Pretty Fly (for a Jedi)", but later decided against it [2]. -- Tyler 16:54, 17 October 2005 (UTC)

About that parody on Avril Lavigne's Complicated song - isn't it called Constipated? I could be mistaken.

The song you're thinking of is called "Bomb Iran" and it's by The Capitol Steps. It's a parody of "Barbara Ann" by the Beach Boys 12.226.28.31 01:22, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

Misattributed

Not sure I see the point in this section. Now if there was a song or three that it was extremely commonly (in general, not just in file-sharing circles) misattributed to Al, I could see listing it. But most of the songs on the list sound NOTHING like Al, and anyone who knows the slightest thing about him (other than the fact he writes parodies) is not going to confuse him with the author. Specifically, most of these songs are pretty 'lowbrow' and Al usually doesn't stoop there. I'd suggest removing this section entirely -- as it has the potential to grow to encompass any parody that gets played on the radio or circulated on the internet...--Rehcsif 20:04, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

Not Al Songs

If you've ever gone to Al's website, on the links page is a site called "The Not Al Songs" page. It's a list comprised by a few people who are dedicated to attributing songs to the correct artist, rather than just labeling all parodies to Al.

X number of years ago, I remember that there was a Sabrina: The Animated Series cartoon on when I was nearby, and the main characters become rock stars and sang some song over and over. I recall that some way through the episode, a Weird Al-esque version of the very same song was sung and attributed (in the cartoon) to Weird Al himself (with one of the characters commenting that you know you're famous when Weird Al writes a parody of your song.) Didn't Al parody the Prodigy's 'Firestarter' in one of the epsodes of 'Wierd Al Show'. I think his version was called 'Stupid Hair Cut'.

Blunderful Word

My wife has a demo tape with a song called "Blunderful World" which I think may be Al. It's a parody of What A Wonderful Worldby [[Louis Armstrong]. Here is a sample of the lyrics;
