Test Pattern Night Lights

Hello from a fellow Kucinich supporter. I'll be happy to fill you in about the Indian Head test card night light - I still have mine and I can take pictures if you'd like to see it. The night light with the Indian Head test card design was sold as one of a set of three test pattern night lights by the Archie McPhee company in Seattle. It was item #10480. I spoke with Mikki at Archie McPhee's Customer Service (425-349-3009) this morning, and she verified that these were created by the company -- not obtained from an outside source -- and sold from January 11, 1999 to June 17, 2005. They've been discontinued for now but with McPhee who knows, they might decide to make them again if they get enough requests. I did find a number of other items related to the Indian Head test card on ebay, including a quilt design based on it (item 8102081440). --Bluejay Young 17:08, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Got carried away...

Enjoy! -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 23:00, 1 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hmpft, I was just going to ask

If you wanted some "special" holiday graphics made for the newsletter. But I see SatyrTN, has already thought of it, and done a dang good job too. :( (I used to be in graphic design). - Jeeny (talk) 23:32, 1 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is this too weird?

- Jeeny (talk) 02:36, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ho, ho, ho! the TranSanta is rather special - gifted one might say. Let me know if you need support on any dramatic activities, seems the winds of change are blowing up yours so feel free to give a Cindy woo-hoo if you need anything. Benjiboi 12:47, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

yay! :) Iamandrewrice 18:40, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How thoughtful, Ben. Now I don't have to go far to grab the template if I need it in a hurry :-D Jeffpw 18:50, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
jeff... on my talk page, someone left that message... i dont know what its referring to... but i think it means my 'maltese language' articles! some person deleted ALL of my edits to that! even though I did include reliable references! like... can you help and step in please? i spent ages on it... :S Iamandrewrice 19:55, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
ok well ive put in the suggestions for malta then... and i promise i will read the other two soon ;)

and how come all the stuff on monkton keeps getting deleted? its quoted by the bbc... surely thats reliable enough. Urgh... like basically everything I have done today has been reverted... Iamandrewrice 20:09, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Monkton

Sorry, I appreciate you have put in a lot of effort with this user, but the reference merely referenced a fire and a minor evacuation, not the cessation of talks about creating a microstate between Minster and Monkton. Unfortunately, once a reference from a "respected" source, in this case the BBC, is used, everything is usually accepted at face value, and that was what concerned me Whitstable 20:13, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I understand that Iamandrewrice (talk · contribs) is your adoptee - you may want to sit him down and (re)explain policy to him, as he's getting very close to both a vandalism, a 3RR and a civility block.iridescent 20:13, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh Thank-You very much, I'll be sure to have a read of that Policy later. Thank you. SpidermanHero 20:49, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It got nasty; I'm not anxious to revisit for now :-) You can give it a try, but you'll quickly see what I mean. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 21:03, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Sandy, but I am all wikicontroversied out for the foreseeable future. Life is too short to engage in endless debates with people who don't want to be nice. Jeffpw 22:47, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again

Hello, me again... My friend from biology class, Iamandrewrice(ben) asked me to get in contact with you asking you to get in contact with him asking why he has been blocked until tomorrow. Thank-you SpidermanHero 21:25, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Thursday's Child

Hmmm. Looks more like Flowers for Algernon (aka Charly) if we're talking books 'n' films. No, Mr Rice, I'm not violating WP:CIV here by accusing you of being mentally retarded. Read the rest of the comment. Your adoptee seems to have started small, as we all do, started to do great things and is now going backwards at an alarming rate, attracting admin attention of the Wrong Sort as he goes. Fingers crossed... BTW on a completely unrelated subject, am I allowed to enjoy The Wizard of Oz even though I'm straight? ☺Cheers, Tonywalton  | Talk 22:49, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tony, everyone is allowed to LOVE The Wizard Of Oz!!! I just gave it to a work colleague to watch with his 9 year old son, since they both like musicals (and have never seen it--the deprivation involved living on the continent!). It's the greatest movie of all time. I've seen it over 500 times, can recite the dialogue along with the actors, and still bawl like a baby when Dorothy says, "Oh, Auntie Em...there's no place like home!" I'm pleased to meet another admirer of this great classic! And yes, point taken on Flowers for Algernon. I liked the book more than the movie, though Cliff Robertson gave a great performance. Jeffpw 22:56, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Nah. Leaving aside, obviously, Earth Girls Are Easy, the best film of all time has to be one of The Dead, Tampopo, Wings of Desire or the toweringly excellent Once Upon a Time in the West
BTW on a Wikipedia-related subject (that I only just found out), did you know instead of [[The Wizard of Oz (1939 film)|The Wizard Of Oz]] you could just say [[The Wizard of Oz (1939 film)|]] like this: The Wizard of Oz. The empty pipe at the end says "show the link with what's in parentheses stripped off".No, I didn't bloody well know that either, and it would have saved me a **^$*%^ of typing over the years if I had done. Re: about the other day...

Dear Jeffpw,

I would like to apologize to you for the harsh comments and the sudden block yesterday. I admit I should have spoken with you about this issue and I should have left you a reminder instead of blocking you. I would like to also apologize if I had caused you to feel that you need to review your participation on Wikipedia. Looking back into your contributions, I believe that you are a good contributor to this online project, and that your participation has made this a better encyclopedia. I would also like to add that if and when X3210 returns from his block, that instead of reverting his edits, that you will discuss with him, attempt to understand his concerns and his positions, and remind him that edit warring and constant reverting will solve nothing. I hope that you will continue to contribute to Wikipedia, and that you will not leave this project as a result of the block. I hope that we could put this incident behind us, and that we can contribute and collaborate, to make Wikipedia a better encyclopedia. I wish you all the best in all and any of your endeavours.

Yours Sincerely,

Nat

wow jeff... i thought you would have figured it out...

...I am those new users... so I wont need adopting on there thanks! Please explain to me why I was blocked on this account due to 'vandalism,' when I did nothing of the sort!

and i did read those things, but couldnt summarise anything until i was unblocked, which for some reason lasted until 2day!

Iamandrewrice 12:39, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

well since I was accused of vandalism on this account... I still wanted to contribute!

and hope you liked the barnstar ;)

and anyway, why was I blocked?!

Iamandrewrice 12:43, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

jeff... you have filed a false complaint

you listed that I was using other accounts to be disruptive to wikipedia. However, can you point out anything disruptive I have done?! oh, and by the way, User:Joseth1992 was not me... so go figure for yourself. I have really tried to be a good adoptee, but you dont seem bothered with me anymore... that is quite hurtful, as I feel that you no longer have any time for me... every time i get in a mess, you never try to sort it out and im left trying to fend for myself in a world that I dont yet understand.
