Two questions: the article stated that Jaeren has "very little soil covering the bedrock" - how does this agree with the extent of agriculture? Furthermore, it was stated that "the coast is without skerries". There are rocky islands off Tananger and there is also the archipelago of Kvitsøyane, so if these areas are counted as parts of Jaeren the bit about skerries cannot be true. When local people speak of Jæren, they mean the munipalities Hå, Time, Klepp and to some extent Gjesdal. Its not common to include the Sandnes and Stavanger regions to Jæren in any other terms than strictly geographically.
- This is wrong. When people speak about Jæren or 'Nord-Jæren' (North-Jæren) they are talking about the Stavanger-Sandnes greater city region. Jæren is a peninsula of which all towns and municipalities are strongly connected to Stavanger/Sandnes. You may say that Jæren is a peninsula of many towns, but Stavanger/Sandnes is the 'heart' of the region. --Simenhjort (talk) 14:57, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
