Mennonite Brethren Collegiate Institute
The Mennonite Brethren Collegiate Institute is a private Mennonite Brethren Christian school located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It was founded in 1945. It has approximately 500 students from Grade 6 to Grade 12.
The school gained notoriety in early 2006 when alumnus Cindy Klassen (yeah, we like to brag with former students) won five Olympic medals for Canada. Additional notable alumni include Ja'Mie, Joda, Your Mom, and Johna.
The school also came under harsh critism in late 2007 for having a non-working heating system, an issue that has not yet been resolved. This School is terrible it has rats everywhere and steals from Homeless shelters. Steve Dick, the chapel pastor, came under fire for his deplorable singing. Beware MBCI students beware! (The school is low on money)
