There has been discussion among many fans regarding Christianity in their songs and whether or not they are a Christian band.[5] This is heightened by the fact that they are signed to the Christian record label 'Tooth and Nail', and have played at Christian rock festivals.[6]. According to their website forum, The Classic Crime do not like to consider themselves a "Christian" band.[7]
