Alternate versions

Morph, the Exiles character, first appeared in Exiles #1 (August, 2001). This follows the TV show by 9 years (1992), "Age of Apocalypse" by 6 year (1995), and The Lost Generation by 1 (2000, series ended 6 month before Exiles started.)

In all honesty, 3 of the 4 (TV, AoA, and Exiles) are AVs of Changeling. The text in the TV section are explicit about that, and cited. The AoA section also makes that point. Given that structure, the TV and AoA sections don't belong. As is.

I've pulled the TV section because it is explicitly a variation of the prior character.

As for the AoA and LG... It may be worthwhile to put them in an "Other character" section here. That would fit the publication history, both pre-dating Exiles, and with the LG character there is nil on it in the linked articles. This would give a place to actually fill in the info, and, unless it pointed out that Stern & Byrne co-oped Changeling, it's an unrelated character.

Clearly there will be a cross of information with character with with an intergrated history as these two; however, I feel it would be important to include the media and AoA as they contributed to the popularity of the character, into the incarnation/inclusion of the Exiles character. Although they may not need ultimately the full section in media, this is an important note to be included. I would like the argument to that of TV characters being adapted to comics. -66.109.248.114 (talk) 00:04, 29 January 2008 (UTC).[reply]
I agree with the AoA, though more than just noting the visual similarities would be nice.
The TV version though... There would have to be a cited source for the evolution from one to the next. And if there is that, it becomes a very good argument to go back to a single article under "Kevin Sydney" as a more neutral article to cover the entire publication history and real world context. - J Greb (talk) 00:14, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The text in the TV section only points to a reference to the animated version, not the comic version. Still nothing to really link the two other than opinion. Opinion is not fact - therefore no merge. {-210.233.211.96 (talk) 12:07, 12 February 2008 (UTC)}[reply]
And to respond: Give it a rest. The debate has been closed, consensus reached, and the articles are to be merged. Grousing on this point is moot. - J Greb (talk) 22:54, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, please. There has been no consensus, only those who hold the Wikilord title have won because they control the entry. It is a shame, because it only hurts the reputation of Wikipedia. {-210.233.211.96 (talk) 11:48, 13 February 2008 (UTC)}[reply]
Once again, Astonishing X-Men #1 (March 1995) Page #27, Rogue and Quicksilver joke about how Morph used to be called Changeling and had the "the ugliest purple headpieced costume". There's your source. -- 69.182.199.231 (talk) 08:55, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
