Requests for IP check

This page lists requests to identify and block the IP addresses behind attack and vandal accounts that were previously listed at Requests for checkuser/IP check. After the account has been reported as blocked or declined by the checkusers, the report is moved here for seven days (most recent sections at the bottom), after which it is deleted. Because there is no attempt to establish a relationship with a puppetmaster account, no separate archive is kept, other than the page history.

Clerks: when clearing this page, please make note of the names of the sections you are deleting in the edit summary.

They are vandalizing Foundation for Family and Life. 124.107.99.106 is already blocked, but i think they might all be the same IP. Diffs: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] ClanCC (T / C) 07:56, 15 February 2008 (UTC) ClanCC (T / C) 07:56, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

oh, nvm, 124.107.99.106 wasn't already blocked before this report, but it's currently blocked for 2 weeks by Alison. ClanCC (T / C) 15:24, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Voluminous (199, apparently the WP email limit for a day...) death threats and related threats of violence in emails following an indef block. Has been reblocked with email disabled, but the person seems likely to create another one based on emails, and just blocking the IP for a while would seem appropriate. Thanks. Libel with incorrect edit summaries on the now fully protected for a week Robin Milhausen page. Difs: [8], [9], [10], [11], [12], in fact all contributions. Please block the sock's IP(s) from editing and account creation. -- Jeandré, 2008-02-10t18:20z, -- Jeandré, 2008-02-12t14:01z

Attack accounts

These accounts showed up at Allegations of state terrorism committed by the United States trolling on the talk page and making disruptive edits. The names are an obvious attack on User:Ultramarine. Familiarity with Wikipedia jargon such as reverts suggests a sock puppet. The ip showed up and restored the blocked accounts edits [13] Two very similar ips also showed within hours as well.  Confirmed - all of the above, also:

  2. Stone put to sky (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) - likely sockmaster

Clerk note: All the accounts are now blocked, User:Stone put to sky was blocked by Slakr for editwarring (72h) prior to this dispute. -- lucasbfr talk 18:23, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hempbilly

After engaging in 3RR, BLP, POV, NPA, etc., violations[14], this editor unrepentently[15] vowed to continue the disruptive edits under anonymous IP accounts to avoid detection[16] despite a block,[17] and admitted that he has done so before[18]. Inasmuch as the underlying edits involved inserting material about accusations of sex crimes against children in biographies of living people, it would be useful to know what anonymous IP accounts he was socking under to check for possible WP:BLP violations, and also to prevent ongoing disruption under the anonymous accounts. 23:26, 16 February 2008 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikidemo (talkcontribs)

Goodness ... TDC has quite a block log. I blocked Hempbilly for 3RR this afternoon, but since he already has quite a block log to his credit, I'm inclined to make it quite a bit longer unless someone has a really good reason not to. --B (talk) 04:38, 17 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have tagged and indefinitely blocked the sock accounts and sockmaster. Vassyana (talk) 11:04, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

La dii da

Vandalized the Mantanmoreland RFAR case and Newyorkbrad's user talk page in the middle of the case. Brand new account, created today. Seems like a good idea to preemtively ensure that the IP hasn't created any other socks and doesn't further disrupt the arbcom proceedings. Georgewilliamherbert (talk) 00:54, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

information Note: - no other socks, sorry, and the IP address is new on WP, so there's no history. I'm not going to block the IP as it's only transient and we don't pre-emptively block per policy - Alison 01:36, 17 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
