Samana is a city and a municipal council in Patiala district in the Indian state of Punjab.

Geography

Samana is located at 30°10′N 76°11′E / 30.16°N 76.19°E / 30.16; 76.19[1]. It has an average elevation of 240 metres (787 feet).

As of 2001 India censusTemplate:GR, Samana had a population of 46,509. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%.
