Erzya people
Appearance
The Erzya or Erzyans (Erzya people), (Erzya: Эрзят/Erzyat), indigenous Finno-Volgaic population of Middle Volga. Erzyan (Erzya) is one of the Finno-Volgaic, branch of the Finno-Ugric language family. Close languages are Moksha and Mari.
Less than one second of Erzyans live in the autonomous republic of Mordovia, Russian Federation, in the basin of the Moksha River, Sura River and Volga River.
Declaration about the official name of erzyan people
We, delegates of Congress, presenting all erzyan - citizens of Russian Federation (RUSSIAN FEDERATION),
- based on history of people, existing many millenniums,
- honouring memory and following traditions of ancestors,
- feeling ethnic, linguistic, spiritual and cultural unity,
- with satisfaction marking the presence of proof erzyans consciousness,
- realizing responsibility for creation of favourable terms for a survival and development of future generations,
- coming from the norms of international law and Constitution of Russian FEDERATIONS, guaranteing human and people rights,
- expressing respect to history, traditions, culture, languages and national dignity of other people,
- wishing to be in the world association of people under the historical name,
- aiming to be the acknowledged independent valuable people,
- hoping on understanding, good will, collaboration of people, governments and other organs of power,
- expressing expectations of all people,
- we declare about his will officially named the proper historical name of «Erzyans People» and confirm all belongings him inseparable rights.
