License tagging for Image:Chandler-Perry.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Chandler-Perry.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Mayor of Hauraki
A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Mayor of Hauraki, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. Valentinian T / C 21:19, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

Stop immediately
You are uploading images which it is extremely unlikely you own the copyright to. Please stop or you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.-gadfium 08:25, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
- I have deleted all those images and reverted your edits. If you believe you have the right to release all of these images under a free licence, please explain. If you do indeed have the right, I will restore the images. If you are not sure, then you do not have the right to release these photos. Some of them may in fact be old enough to be out of copyright, but that is not the same thing as you releasing them into the public domain.-gadfium 08:36, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

- I have nominated the article for deletion because it is based entirely upon primary sources, which are not considered reliable by Wikipedia's guidelines. They may be used in some circumstances, but this is not one of them. If you can back up what is said with reliable third party sources (please read the link above to see what counts as reliable) then the article will not be deleted. Feel free to message me if you need any help. J Milburn (talk) 11:03, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Hugh Kininmonth
An editor has nominated Hugh Kininmonth, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hugh Kininmonth and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 11:59, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
Wikipedia Criteria for deletion or inclusion
Seems to me that the Wikipedia criteria for inclusion and deletion are largely ignored and that what counts in practice are the whims and particular preferences of various Wikipedians. The result is that plenty of people who are notable are not to be found, while plenty who are, are absent. This maybe a consequence of too many people with poor judgement and who can't hold down gainful employment having too much free time on their hands.
