List of Kath & Kim episodes

The following is an episode list of the Australian comedy series Kath & Kim, formerly airing on ABC TV, and as of 2007, on the Seven Network. The series had its roots after premiering as a skit on the short-lived comedy series, Big Girl's Blouse. The series began on May 16, 2002, on the ABC Network – and ended on November 24, 2004 after the contract with the network expired. The series returned on Seven in August 2007. There have been 32 episodes so far, and one television movie.

Currently, the first three seasons are available on VHS and DVD, with the fourth series on DVD only, as well as in a collection set – contain every episode, it was also released in the UK in 2005. The television movie was released in early 2006.

Kath's recently-married daughter Kim turns up and announces that her marriage to Brett is finally coming to an end. She thinks he's having an affair and gets second best friend Sharon to stalk him. Back home, Kim is disgusted that her mother is dating butcher Kel Knight, but soon got engaged at the Harvey Norman store!

Instead of Netball, Kim takes up golf with Sharon – leading to Kath suspecting her daughter may be a lesbian and that's why she left Brett again. When she voices her theory to Kel, he admits he went through a gay phase in the Navy. Meanwhile, Kim decides to go speed dating with Sharon, who meets fiddler Mark.

Kim joins Sharon's netball team so she can rough up the Bolton twins, who seduced Brett when he was drunk. Meanwhile, Kel is obsessed with making the perfect gourmet sausage.

Kim cannot fit in her bridesmaid's dress after her rapid weight gain so she tries out the Celine Cuisine diet, based on Celine Dion's. Sharon becomes a marriage guidance counsellor, and Kath and Kel fall out over their vows when they meet Marion the marriage celebrant.

Kim makes Kath feel self conscious about her age so she invests in the new homeboy fashion range. Kath is also frustrated that Kel keeps letting her down (he's secretly learning how to waltz). Meanwhile, Kim maintains her treat-him-mean campaign with Brett.

Kath is desperate to raise the money so she can hire a carriage for the wedding from Brian at Silver Lady Coaches. When all else fails, she holds a lingerie party, with Kim and Sharon as models. Kel asks Brett to be his best man, while Kim becomes obsessed with the internet, indulging in home shopping and chatroom dating.

Kim organises Kath's hens night after rejecting Sharon's idea – a marathon session of Rocky and Mighty Ducks videos, then Kath is ready to party at the dancefloor! Meanwhile, Kel and Brett's Buck's return ends up in a horrible shock with them being robbed and chained up in just their underwear outside Flinders Street Station.

The big day is beset by hitches – Kath suffers a horse hair allergy and from slippery shoes, Kim forgets to clean the bin before filling it with punch, Kel indulges in too much Dutch courage. The horse used to pull the carriage goes on the rampage, then Kath & Kel's Fairytail wedding ended in horror when Kim, Kath & Sharon both landed up in hospital after the wedding!

Sharon gets boyfriend Mark to play netball, Kim has doubts about Brett's manliness and Kath makes a hat for her floral design course.

Finding a name for Kim's baby is proving to be a horror problem, Brett refuses not allowed to go to the birth classes, Sharon is keen to become a Commonwealth Games volunteer and Kath and Kel decide to buy a pet dog and it named Epponee-Rae.

Kim was very upset that her best friend Tina Rinne can't come to the baby shower, and Sharon takes a shine to Kel's best friend Sandy Freckle who tries to squeeze in on Kath and Kel's relationship.

When Kim goes into labour, In the past, Kath reminisces about the ordeal she went through giving birth to Kim with little help from the father, Gary Poole – and Kim recalls her first meeting with Brett, when he had bad hair and was dating Sharon. Now, Kimmy's brand new baby is revealed!

Brett and Epponnee head to the Gold Coast to visit Brett's mother, leaving Kim behind who is taking time off. Meanwhile, Kath and Kel decide to spend time apart but they both quickly learn they have little to do on their own.

When Kimmy kicks up a horror smell of poo, Sharon becomes a fascist as she helps her to lose weight while Kel and Kath star in The Hours – The Musical.

Sharon has a date and turns to Kim for a makeover while Kath and Kel attempt to update their home theatre system, which is hindered by Brett who gets Kath obsessed with television.

Kim and Brett plan to move out of their house which is an off-the-plan apartment. Kath and Kel get talent work which leads to them starring in a 'High and Dry' commercial. In Horror, Brett announced that He, Kim & Epponee-Rae's apartment will now take position in four years time.

Sharon anxiously fights for godmother status of Epponnee Rae while Kath plans a big party for Kel's 50th birthday which results in Kel having a mini mid-life crisis.

Kath and Kel go fat free after seeking advice from their doctor, while Brett and Kim go off at each other over their child's career path. Flash-forward segments also feature Epponnee Rae's wedding in 20 years time.

Da Kath and Kim Code (2005 telemovie)

Initially, Riley and Turner planned to take 2005 off from television, but in July, they announced that they would be writing and filming a 90 minute telemovie. The movie aired on November 27, 2005, and was the ABC's top rated program for 2005 . The Telemovie also screened in New Zealand in December. It was Kath & Kim's last ever shows to be shown on the ABC before it moved to Channel Seven.

The film sees Kel and Kath return from a European The Da Vinci Code tour and begin the frantic preparations for Christmas. During the two weeks leading up to Christmas Day, a number of events take place. Brett and Kim have a falling out, which sees him living in a motel, and beginning a relationship with his boss Kelly. While Kim does eventually ask him back, he is still conducting the affair. Sharon meets a man, Marriott, online and they become engaged, however she soon gets her heart broken because she finds out that he does not even exist. Kath and Kel become backup dancers for Michael Bublé at the Carols by Candlelight. However, Kath's affection for him results in Kel letting out his "green eyed monster". Kath eventually forgives him and Kel comes home for Christmas. Kath and Kel also get strange messages from John Monk the albino running "Da Vinci Code" tour but they find out eventually he just wants to offer them a franchise. It ends with Kath's first day as a tour guide on the Da Vinci Code 2 tour: G'day Leonardo.

Series Four (2007)

After a break in 2006, Kath & Kim started shooting for a fourth season with the series moving to the Seven Network in a $3 million dollar deal. The season premiered on Sunday 19 August 2007 at 7:30pm, attracting an Australian audience of 2.521 million nationally, making it the most watched television programme so far in 2007 and the highest rating ever for a first episode in the history of Australian television.

Special guests to feature in this season include Matt Lucas, David Walliams, Shane Warne, Rob Sitch, Andrew O'Keefe, Eric Bana, Maggie Beer, Shannon Bennett, Bill Granger, Donna Hay and Kylie Kwong.

It's party time at Lagoon court with Epponnee-Rae's first birthday. Kim is sparing no expense to make sure Epponnee's party is going to blow everyone out of the water. Meanwhile, Kel has some celebrating to do as winner of a prestigious award.

Kath becomes a health professional and has the TAFE certificate to prove it. Elsewhere, Kim takes a needle and needs a guinea pig for her new career, while Brett is busting to impress his bosses.

Kim has her sights set on a private education school for Epponnee. Elsewhere, Kath and Kel decide to invest in a grey water recycling system.

Kath and Kel ensuite gets well-used after the downstairs toilet becomes blocked. When the next door neighbour Mandy's house goes up for auction, Kel puts in an offer. Meanwhile, Sharon and Kim put their smarts on the line when they go on Deal or No Deal. Then Sharon won $20,000 on the quiz show.

Kath unravels a secret about her families heritage and Sharon comes face to face with a long-lost half sister from England, Karen (Matt Lucas) . Meanwhile, Kel is desperate to find out if he is part of a noble family's blood line.

Sharon has sworn off men and has been celibate for three months. Brett is up to his old tricks and Kim banned him out. Later, Brett kidnaps Sharon and moved into her apartment, but by the next morning Kim watched in horror that they saw that Sharon slept with Brett!

Sharon ends up falling in love with a Shane Warne impersonator, Wayne, and Kath & Kim are put in charge of planning the wedding. Meanwhile, Despite getting a new job, Brett buys another apartment for Kim and Epponee-Rae while Kath and Kel embark on a new business venture turning their house into a B&B. In Disaster, The Video Shop announced on the phone to Kim that they've decided to cancel Her & Brett's apartment because of DVD overdue fines worth $90,000!
