Tsvetan Genkov (Bulgarian: Цветан Валентинов Генков) (born 8 August 1984) is a Bulgarian footballer currently (as of May 2007) playing for Russian club FC Dynamo Moscow as an attacker or side midfielder.
Born in Mezdra, he began his career in the local Lokomotiv at the age of seventeen, previously having been an athlete. He then moved to PFC Lokomotiv Sofia, where he established himself in one of the leading A PFG clubs and helped his team a great deal to reach the fourth place in 2005-06 and secure a place in the UEFA Cup 2006-07. During the qualification rounds, Genkov scored four goals in six matches. In Bulgaria's A PFG, he became the top goalscorer of 2006-07 with 27 goals, leading Lokomotiv to the third position and UEFA Cup 2007-08 qualification. On 9 June 2007, he signed a 4 and a half years contract with Dynamo Moscow for a transfer fee of €1.8 million.[1][2]
He has also played for the Bulgaria national football team and for the U-21 team.
