Ahab is a funeral doom band from Germany, the band was formed from two members of Midnattsol and one former member of Endzeit. The band is noted for their use of keyboards, which help to portray a mysterious, dreamy soundscape, and a distinctively oceanic setting. This technique is especially prominent in the song "Below The Sun". The band's lyrics are inspired by the story of Moby Dick, in which Ahab seeks vengeance on the white whale. One of their songs is actually directly quoted from the book.
