"Forest of the Dead"[6] (previously called "River's Run")[1] is the ninth episode of the fourth series of British science fiction television series Doctor Who. It was first broadcast by BBC One on 7 June 2008.[7] It is the second of a two-part story, following "Silence in the Library".
Synopsis
While attempting to defeat the threat of the Vashta Nerada with Professor River Song, the Doctor faces secrets from his own future. What or who is CAL and what can stop the Vashta Nerada now?[8] Meanwhile, Donna finds herself in an alternate reality alongside Doctor Moon.[9]

- The wedding dress Catherine Tate wears in this episode, is the same dress she wore in The Runaway Bride.[10]
- The phrase "Not one line!" in reference to rewriting history has been used before in Doctor Who, specifically by the First Doctor in the 1964 serial The Aztecs.[11]
