The Sickness is Disturbed's debut album. It was recorded in the winter of 1999 and released on March 7, 2000. Unlike their later albums, which are mixed in style, The Sickness consists primarily of heavier, more aggressive tracks. With almost 4 million (3.89 million, to be exact, according to Nielsen Soundscan) copies sold, it is the band's most successful album.
