Amir Sadollah is a member of Team Combat in Richmond, Virginia. Sadollah graduated from J.R. Tucker High School in Richmond and later attended Jay Sargeant Reynolds Community College. His interest in mixed martial arts was spawned by a friend who was training in the sport at the time. Initially Amir viewed it solely as a way that he could stay in shape. Oddly enough, his love for the sport began to grow after he accepted a job as a surgical technician in the operating room at VCU Healthsytems where he noticed the similarities in personality between a surgeon and a fighter and it put into perspective the drive needed to succeed at one's craft. Now, realizing his potential, Amir focuses full-time on training and improving his all-around game. The 27-year-old amateur kickboxer impressed Dana White, along with The Ultimate Fighter producers, during the open-workout in Newark and he earned a shot in the house.

Amir admires the fighting style and demeanor of Mirko Cro Cop and hopes to emulate his idol while training on The Ultimate Fighter 7. A devoted MMA fanatic, Amir rarely is away from the gym, although he admits that recently he has taken up golf.

The Ultimate Fighter

Amir Sadollah came on to the show with no past record in MMA. Sadollah showed that he was tough enough to be on the show after defeating Steve Byrnes by armlock. Amir got his spot in the house because of the win and became the second pick for Team Forrest. In the seventh episode, Amir went up against skilled wrestler Gerald Harris and won the fight by TKO in the second round. Amir went fought "The Immortal" Matt Brown and defeated Brown by Triangle Choke in Round 2. Amir then moved onto the semi-finals where he was to face C.B. Dollaway. Dollaway won the first and second rounds of the fight but in the third round, Sadollah put Dollaway in an armbar and Dollaway immediately tapped. This meant that Amir would fight in the finale for a shot at becoming the next Ultimate Fighter. Sadollah's original opponent for the finale was Jesse Taylor. However, Taylor was removed from the finale due to controversy after a night of drinking that saw Taylor kick out the window of a rented limousine.

C.B. Dollaway and Tim Credeur were then called into the training center and told of the situation with Jesse. They were invited to fight each other for the chance to replace Jesse in the finale against Amir. They both agreed and were given three weeks to prepare. After three rounds, Dollaway won by unanimous decision to move onto the championship fight and rematch against Amir Sadollah to see who will be crowned The Ultimate Fighter.
