Merge with non-notable councillors

Paul Shannon (UK politician) and Lynne Williams articles assert no notability. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Abid Chohan. JASpencer 18:38, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The boundary of Rusholme ward is not representative of the boundary of the neighbourhood historically referred to as Rusholme. Therefore, Rusholme councillors do not represent all of the area, and represent areas of other neighbourhoods. The current councillors were all only recently elected and are peripheral to the culture, history, traditions and politics of Rusholme. There are probably past councillors, such as Yomi Mambu (the first black woman to serve as Lord Mayor) who would deserve a mention.

Sir John Barbrolli also lived in Rusholme, in the Brighton Grove flats.

I can't see any justification for having separate articles for these two local politicians, so I'd vote for the merge. ---- Eric 20:51, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Social history

What is this supposed to mean? "Over the Victorian era, there were several different socio-political meanings of Rusholme." ---- Eric 20:51, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
