A photo has been placed on the article page. Bwd234 17:19, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is his name Jeong-Hyun Lim or Lim Jeong-Hyun? There is a video on YouTube where they did a piece on him on CNN and they have it as Lim Jeong-Hyun. So, can anyone verify the correct name? Bwd234 17:10, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

according to Wikipedia:Naming conventions (Korean), the default form would be Lim Jeong-Hyun unless he has personally expressed a preference for the other format. 209.204.172.102 00:02, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This individual is known for one cover of someone else's arrangement of a classical piece. Does he pass the notability criteria for inclusion on Wikipedia? Shawnc 04:02, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

there must be hundreds of artists that have played songs more successfully than the artist who originally wrote the song. So yes, he deserves a inclusion on wikipedia, why not. The article sucks however. (this comment falsly signed by 81.62.227.13)

If anyone else can play like this after six years; of guitar, he too, should be in Wiki.

Changed the information about Jeong-Hyun Lim's "concert" in Washington. Judging from the NY Times article, it seems most likely to me that somebody was confused by the performance put on by Alfonso. Unless somebody has concrete evidence to the contrary, anyway. (There was no reference) TheStripèdOne 16:03, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"qoute: '* LOL, it isn't that difficult. have you learned any musical instrument? 71.105.109.197 03:11, 2 January 2007 (UTC)' lets see you play it dude. 67.161.97.160 07:27, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Should be nominated for deletion

The article is in a horrible state and moderately high rankings on YouTube is not a reason for inclusion in Wikipedia. --70.51.232.12 01:31, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I dissagree, it needs improved, but not deleted. It's not beacause of the YouTube ranks, it's beacause this guy is probably one of the best (if not the best) guitar players in the world right now. I'm of course willing help with this article. Supra guy 20:37, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I also dissagree, this should NOT be deleted. This guy is extremely talented and deserves mention. Hell, he deserves a recording contract! Bwd234 15:23, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Other Youtube famous people have articles about them too. The only quirk I have with this article is that its a bit tiny. Ubershock 12:16, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree as well, why would you delete this? I just needs some work. This guy's amazing! Igob8a 16:17, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I also disagree. He is not included in Wikipedia only due to his rankings, but also his talent. Have you seen him play? He's...just amazing. Revy D. 23:16, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Quotes

Those quotes in the second paragraph need citation. Especially the one about him being a "musical catalyst." It seems like a mistake, but I haven't seen the actual quote to be able to correct it. --S.Reemas, Jan. 18, 2007

A more obvious photo?

One of the references of this article has a picture of Funtwo with his face revealed. So, should we use that photo? I would've done it myself but I don't know the license tag to use...That's why I asked. Pathbinder 14:12, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Any photo from a news organization is usually copyrighted and not fair use unless stated otherwise. The screenshot of the video was added because it was reasonably helpful and could be tagged in a way that did not run into problems.--Ianmacm 16:13, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Starcraft 2?

I know this is sort of off-topic but does he like Starcraft 2?

starcraft 2 isnt even out yet. But hell, he's korean, why not

Hahaha lmfao, so stereotypical xD In the news report/interview on Youtube, after he come in and the reporter asks what he does in his spare time, he says he was gaming in a PC bang, which would mean he was playing Starcraft in an internet cafe.

Profession?

I've googled around a bit, and I can see hints that Lim is a pro gamer, but I can't find a solid source. Anyone? --Slashme 15:58, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I restored the link to the YouTube video of Canon Rock, since there is no blanket ban in this area (see [1]). In this case, the YouTube link is a reasonable illustration of the article, and is nothing that an intelligent person could not find very quickly with their own internet search. --♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 17:27, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
