One Little Indian Records is a London-based independent record label who rose from the ashes of punk record company Crass. It was set up by members of various anarchist punk bands. The first success came with A.Rkane and Flux in 1981. Success continued with Kitchens Of Distinction, The Sugarcubes, Sneaker Pimps, The Shamen, Skunk Anansie, Björk, Chumbawamba, Alabama 3

In 1990 One Little Indian created several autonomous satelitte lables including Clean Up Records, Elemental Records, Partisan Records, Fat Cat Records - all these labels had multi platinum success with artists like Sneaker Pimps, Alabama 3, and Sigur Rós

In 1997 and 2001 One Little Indian also acquired the old Rough Trade Records, and Nude Records as well as rights to several albums previously released under spinART Records.

The label was formerly distributed by London Records. Ever since 1998, the label is distributed by Virgin Records.
