Sphere is very similar to Forbidden Planet which was based on the Tempest

Reading the article itself, and only having watched about ten minutes of the movie, it is clear Sphere is similar in many ways to Forbidden Planet. Harry's headache in the book is Walter Pidgeon's Krell mind boost. Harry's monster is the Krell Monster, the Id monster.

Googling finds a few other people on the net also make this connection:

Anyway, just sharing.

In the interest of sharing, I use a Sprint Mobile Broadband card to access the net. It's frustrating that Raul, and admin who acts like a bully, has much of Sprint's IP addresses blocked, because Raul thinks blocking most of Sprint broadband is an okay and effective way to keep one person from editing an article on global warming. To edit this article, I have to essentially disconnect and reconnect about a half dozen times until Sprint gives me an IP address that Raul hasn't shat on yet.

Long live Raul, long live Wikipedia, long live abusive bullying admins, long live Jimbo. 70.1.80.65 (talk) 09:51, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
