Yang Xinhai (c. 1968 - February 14, 2004) was a Chinese serial killer who was charged with 65 murders and convicted for them. Yang had previously been in prison and in a psychiatric hospital for rape and theft but was released soon after.

After having been released he met a girl and fell in love with her. They were a normal couple but when she discovered his criminal past, she dumped him for it. He loved her for what he did not hurt her. However, he began his career as a serial killer. According to the Chinese press, he was a 'monster' and 'cruel' with his victims (most of them farmers). Sometimes he killed entire families.

He killed 65 persons across many provinces of China. Finally was arrested on November 15, 2003 in Cangzhou, Hebei. He was sentenced to death soon after and was executed by a gunshot to the head on February 14. 2004.

According to himself 'he wanted revenge against society'.[1]
