Is it possible to undelete this? It was amateurishly done, but is notable as a representative of United Kingdom's Air Training Corps squadrons, and it was deleted while I was consulting other editors--mrg3105 (comms) ♠00:46, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn't the deleting admin though I would have no objection , you might want to ask them first. I don't think you would have any trouble writing it from scratch with good references if you wished. I have to go offline but will be back on in the am to take a better look at it.— Ѕandahl 02:00, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Joseph Clough Wiki Entry

Hi there,

I recently spent a while trying to create my first Wikipedia entry, and I have just found that it was Speedily deleted. As I'm new to this, I am obviously not doing something right, and I obviously didn't convey the article in the way I wanted to.

Basically, the reason I wanted to create a Wiki page for Joseph is because he has seen some great regional (Liverpool) and national coverage recently, and as somebody who used to be treated by him, but is no longer in contact, I thought it would be great to create a page as it seems he is getting in the media more regularly now, including an interview on BBC radio. I don't even live in Liverpool now, but was impressed with his coverage, and thought I'd get there before somebody else did. I thought that this was OK, and I basically sourced most of my information on him from his websites and the press coverage so far, which is why it may seem unresourced.

I'm sorry if this is not OK, but how else do I create a page for somebody who is becoming better and better known within the UK? What would I need to take out of the entry I did?

Thanks very much for looking at this, I hope to have it restored (I'm sure you hear that all the time!).

Danny

I can also show you the media coverage Joseph has had if this would help.

Dannystanton (talk) 15:41, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think you mean Joseph clough, not the previously deleted article Joseph Clough. It was deleted as a G2 test page, didn't see content there but a {{hangon}}. Please see this page for help with notability guidelines. — Ѕandahl 15:53, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I started a discussion for this since I get lots of hits on Google and the original author contested the speedy and untagged the article. The original article was Clean sadness (lowercase, now a redirect because I moved it to capitalize the last name). You can delete the AFD, but do you think should I request a deletion review? –BuickCenturyDriver 21:29, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I will restore it if you wish. It has been through AFD before Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Clean Sadness though . Let me know.— Ѕandahl 21:33, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If you can, restore it and let the AFD run it's course. It'll be interesting to see if the old discussion has an impact. –BuickCenturyDriver 21:38, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

re: Karen Salazar article deletion - July 3, 2008

Hi Sandahl, I'm new to Wikipedia...

I'm wondering why my article on Karen Salazar was deleted. Could you give any tips on what I need to avoid in the article to get the rest of the entry back up? I tried to provide as many credible news sources (such as the LA Times) as I could.

Could you also please explain why it was labelled an "attack page"? I don't understand who is being considered attacked. Certainly no attack was intended.

Thanks, Jeffecc Jeffecc (talk) 21:49, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Liverpool Gay Quarter

Hey, I just needed the advice of someone a bit more experienced. It is only my first day on wikipedia...I did an article today called Liverpool Gay Quarter, wondered if you could help me to imrpove it, as there's all sorts of things been put onto it? PLus, when I try and upload an image, it says, 'unathorized'. (Richie wright1980 (talk) 23:52, 9 July 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Hey, you put a delete notice on my artcile, why is this? I have been working on it all day, and have done my research etc...It was cleared earlier on by one of the other admins, so what has changed now? Can you please help. (Richie wright1980 (talk) 00:17, 10 July 2008 (UTC))[reply]

I haven't had time to look at the article yet but I will. Your account has to be four days old to upload an image. It must also be properly licensed Wikipedia:Image use policy. I didn't put a delete notice on the article Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Stanley Street, Liverpool. Please read the AFD link. Looks like you wrote a duplicate of an article already in existence.— Ѕandahl 01:51, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted pages

Hi Sandahl You seem to have deleted two new pages that I recently created, Jonathan Summerfield and Adam Forman. I recently added their names to the Close-Up Magicians page as they are well known magicians, so thought it wise to add a Biography reference. Is this still possible?

Many thanks

Reversion

Hello there! You reverted someone's correction of some vandalism in the Ian Watkins (Lostprophets) article and warned them. Don't worry about that though, the vandalism they removed was there since the 10th July! I imagine this lead you to believe that the name was correct as it hadn't been recently changed? I would have done the same. I thanked the user and I'll be watching more closely for sneaky vandalism like that. Seraphim♥Whipp 15:18, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Physician Editwarring 3RR

Edit warring's not disruption. Not unless it's restoring spam edits. And, uh, was WLU edit warring as was Jwri7474, am I correct? And before you tell me I had the effrontery to editwars with an admin; no, that's not worse than edit warring with users who editwar. As for your not comprehending what the medical practitioner crack was about my reinstatement of the privileges of admins would do it. Again here they are: "admins are the ones who have been entrusted by the community to uphold its standards as they see fit" [sic]. No, they're not, you know. Jwri7474 and WLU are merely the ones entrusted with a few additional buttons, which they're absolutely not supposed to edit as they see fit.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.90.142.3 (talkcontribs)

Edit warring is disruption. It is better to discuss changes on the talkpage than keep reverting to the version one desires. The three-revert rule (often referred to as 3RR) is a policy that applies to all Wikipedians, and is intended to prevent edit warring:An editor must not perform more than three reverts, in whole or in part, on a single page within a 24-hour period. A revert means undoing the actions of another editor, whether involving the same or different material each time.

Subst'ing templates

Hi, I noticed your edit to Pediatric Research, and I just wanted to let you know that the templates you put on the article should generally not be substituted, but instead transcluded directly. So, for example, it is better to simply write {{orphan}} instead of {{subst:orphan}}. This makes it easier for other editors to remove the tags once the problems are fixed. Thanks!--Aervanath lives in the Orphanage 12:15, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the info, I will remember. I did not attempt to de orphan the article, the orphan tag is clearly visible at the bottom of the template.[1].— Ѕandahl 16:14, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wild ARMs

At the time of your warning, I had only undone one edit, made by a user who has been vandalising numerous articles on Wikipedia and has been reported by me. The other edits made by me were not revisions and just general edits.Fragments of Jade (talk) 23:05, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This your contribution history.[2]. The reverts are clearly visible. Constantly reverting is edit warring which solves nothing for either party. Please discuss changes on the talk page of said article.— Ѕandahl 23:12, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This is getting ridiculous. FoJ is now edit warring over spelling errors ('monikor' f'r instance, and in her haste is renaming and breaking links to categories and character pages (please see this diff: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wild_Arms_2&diff=231949455&oldid=231948722). Advice?Mr T (Based) (talk) 18:47, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A discussion was started on the series talk page, but instead of taking part, he chose to partake in insulting me with some others on his talk page and continuing to make his edits, stating that he can edit when, where, and how he wants. The link in question was fixed-I had to do a redirect,-but he couldn't be bothered to be patient. And it should be noted that, in his haste to undo my edits, he did not even notice his spelling changes were mostly left intact, save for a few misses.Fragments of Jade (talk) 19:50, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I merely called you a "weasel" when you pretended that some links weren't broken when in fact you were trying to fix them. I also called you a "liar" because you... well... lied. I can think of an easy way for you to avoid that in the future: be honest. 88.161.129.43 (talk) 20:29, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Look, you little psycho, stop following me, and you're not the only one he was insulting me with. I never lied-I specifically stated you needed to be patient while I redirected. The links were still never broken; they just did not completely get to the right place. You need to stop this. You only joined the argument because it involved me, are making no good points, and have even admitted to barely even playing one of the games. Simply put-you don't know what you're talking about. It's "ARMs" in the games, and there are even "Wild ARMs" specifically in the games.Fragments of Jade (talk) 20:34, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

you little psycho
Well, it's good to see that you wouldn't insult people...
I never lied
I can think of many instances of you lying, actually, including one spotted by an admin. Sock puppetry is bad.
The links were still never broken
That's another lie.
You only joined the argument because it involved me
I joined it because I disagreed with you, and saw you were still resorting to baseless accusations and lies. It's a wonder you didn't get blocked for good already. 88.161.129.43 (talk) 20:39, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You have been stalking me all over Wikipedia and trying to follow me all over the internet. You found someone you believed to be me, then hunted down and posted all of her personal information here. You show up at any article the minute I edit it, undo my edit, then try and claim it was wrong, despite it being clear you have no idea what you are talking about. After a long absence, you suddenly reappeared on my talk page after an edit war unrelated to you in every way, just to make rude little comments. It's clear that you are stalking me, and it's getting old. The only sock puppet here is and always will be you, no matter what admins you get to lie for you. Sandahl, this is what it's like in the discussion topic, too. Even though the title spelling clearly comes from the ARMs and Wild ARMs mentioned in the games, she still refuses to accept that, yet offers no real proof and just flings insults.Fragments of Jade (talk) 20:48, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You have been stalking me all over Wikipedia and trying to follow me all over the internet.
In order to prove your sock puppetry, since you were denying it all. 'Turns out I was right, too.
You found someone you believed to be me, then hunted down and posted all of her personal information here.
"All of her personal information," really? Not true.
After a long absence, you suddenly reappeared on my talk page after an edit war unrelated to you in every way, just to make rude little comments.
They were advices. Advices you kept deleting right away. Now, that's rude, Jade.
The only sock puppet here is and always will be you
A sock puppet of whom? You never give any specifics, or any evidence, even circumstantial. Baseless accusations.
no matter what admins you get to lie for you.
Ludicrous.
Sandahl, this is what it's like in the discussion topic, too.
True. Which is why you should be blocked once and for all, in my opinion. Even disregarding the rest of your disruptive behavior, the sock puppetry case alone should have been enough, but it was closed for lack of manpower at the time, and we only got confirmation from an admin that you were indeed lying a few days after that. I don't know why you're still here. I really don't. You're lucky, I guess. And we're not. 88.161.129.43 (talk) 21:09, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Without trying to figure out the subject matter with which I am unfamiliar , is there a good reliable link showing the particular capitalization as Wild ARMs 2 or Wild Arms 2 ? — Ѕandahl 20:58, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

XSEED's official site(Just scroll down a little in the menu to the left)-http://www.xseedgames.com/

Wild ARMs game script-http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/psx/file/199299/36171

Wild ARMs 3 game script-http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/file/478787/39798

Wild ARMs 4 game script(You can even find "Wild ARMs" specifically mentioned by the characters using the "Find on this page" feature)-http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/file/918840/41398

There's a fair amount of links. And the only official site using "Arms" is the group responsible for the PAL release, and they use other spelling, and most of the titles featured are incorrect and just use basica capitalization. Such as, "Ar Tonelico", when it's actually "Ar tonelico".Fragments of Jade (talk) 21:05, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He asked about Wild Arms 2, Jade. And GameFAQs? Seriously?
"Wild Arms 2" on Sony's US official site (the game is fairly old, so...)
the only official site using "Arms" is the group responsible for the PAL release
That's not true. Sony's US official site uses "Wild Arms" for all the games of the series (except Wild Arms XF). 88.161.129.43 (talk) 21:13, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The scripts on gamefaqs are exact. And Wild ARMs 2 is not the issue-the whole series is. You need to stop antagonizing me, especially with only that site.Fragments of Jade (talk) 21:39, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Sandahl! Listen, my editing connects with political matters, cities, feet, the Free Speech and certain years. Other topics-chicken, fruits, vegetables, fish and pizza. Editing on Wikipedia can be complicated. Could someone help me out? And retrieving sources may be more difficult for editing with Wikipedia. Any help with sourcings?
