Eugene's Bike: After Arnold accidentally wrecks Eugene's new bike, he tries to make up for it by taking Eugene to a series of entertainment centers.

The Little Pink Book: When Helga accidentally leaves her little pink diary on the school bus, she tries to retrieve it before anyone reads her most sacred poems about her secret affection for Arnold. Meanwhile, Arnold and Gerald find the diary and believe the poems in it were supposedly written by some "unknown" girl. Field Trip: While on a class field trip to the aquarium, Arnold learns that an ancient tortoise named LockJaw is being unfairly treated by people who make fun of him. So Arnold convinces his grandmother to aid in helping him sneak into the aquarium and set the miserable tortoise free.

Arnold's Hat: While Arnold and Gerald try to fly a kite in the park, a gust of wind blows Arnold's hat off his head. Then, Arnold starts to think that without his trademark hat, he doesn't feel the same anymore. Meanwhile, Helga comes across Arnold's hat and adds to her majestic shrine of him which is conveniently located in her closet. Stoop Kid: While playing football on the street, Arnold kicks the ball and it ends up on the Stoop Kid's stoop. And according to Gerald, Stoop Kid is a boy who has been living on that particular stoop ever since he was born. Arnold tries to wait for Stoop Kid to leave so he can get his football back, but learns that Stoop Kid never leaves his stoop. Faced with this fact, Arnold tries to convince Stoop Kid to overcome his habit by taking a step off the stoop.

Helga's Makeover: Due to her tomboy-ish nature, Helga is the only girl not invited to Rhonda's slumber party. Feeling left out she gives herself a makeover, and goes to Rhonda's slumber party anyway. The Old Building: Arnold is caught in the middle when Grandma and Ernie argue about whether an old building should be torn down or not.

6th Grade Girls: Having met girls in the 6th grade, Arnold and Gerald, passing themselves off as 6th graders, attend a 6th grade dance." The Baseball: When Arnold discovers that his favorite baseball player is retiring after one final game, he goes to the game only to get a bad seat.

Operation Ruthless: While the "Cheese Festival" is in town, Helga attempts to eliminate Arnold's interest in Ruth, a girl he likes. The Vacant Lot: When Arnold and Gerald find a vacant lot and turn it into a baseball field that they deem as "Gerald Field", the adults overexert their power and take the field for themselves.

The List: Arnold attempts to do everything on "The List For A Kid's Perfect Saturday", a list that no kid has ever been able to finish in one Saturday, but finds it hard going. Haunted Train: Arnold, Gerald and Helga believe Grandpa's rumors of a train that leads to the underworld.

Mugged: One evening while Arnold was walking home a robber stole Arnold's cell phone and money and ran away. Then Arnold's grandma teaches him some self defence then it worked effectively when he rescues Eugene and Brainy from three guys who were trying to eat their Mallomars and chocolate chip cookies without permission but was not effective as it was before when Arnold beats up a innocent man who only wanted to know where is the bus stop. Roughin' It: Grandpa takes Arnold and Gerald on a weekend camping trip. As they set up the campsite, Pheobe, Helga and her father show up in a high-tech RV to rough it as well. Then, as everyone hikes up a mountain trail while exploring the great outdoors, they gets lost in the wilderness. Arnold and Gerald agree to help everyone find their way back to camp grounds by using Grandpa's survival tips.

Door #16: Arnold is given a package, which is for the mysterious Mr. Smith. Meanwhile, all of the borders become curious about figuring out what is contained within the package. Now, Arnold and Gerald try to make a safe delivery while searching all over town for Mr. Smith so they can give him the package. Arnold as Cupid: After getting into an argument with Suzie, Oskar is kicked out of his room in the boarding house. Feeling rejected by his wife, Oskar tries to find a new room to sleep in, but no one agrees to it. Then, with no other option, Oskar decides to move into Arnold's room. Soon, Arnold becomes tired of Oskar sleeping in his room, so he plays cupid and tries to bring Oskar and his wife back together again.

Arnold's Christmas: Arnold tries to find Mr. Hyunh's daughter (they were separated in the Vietnam War, this is assumed because of the girls age and a scene reminiscent of a photo taken by Hubert Van Es taken of an evacuation of Saigon) as he carries out his duty as Mr. Hyunh's secret Santa. Meanwhile, Helga attempts to find the perfect Christmas present for Arnold.

Benchwarmer: Arnold and the gang play on a basketball team, but their coach tells them to throw the ball to one person, his son, Tucker. Cool Jerk: A cool older teenager named Frankie befriends Arnold after standing up for him to disrespectful people at his school but Arnold soon realizes that Frankie is really a petty thief

Spelling Bee: Arnold competes in a Tri-City spelling bee for a large cash prize. Helga's dad encourages Helga to win, since her sister has never lost a spelling bee. Pigeon Man: Arnold confronts a man that has known and trusted pigeons all his life after his pigeon is wounded.

Olga Comes Home: Jealous about her smart, talented, popular older sister Olga returning home from college, Helga fiendishly changes one of her grades from an A to B+, Olga's first non-A since second grade. The "B+" sends Olga into a deep depression. Sally's Comet: Arnold and Gerald mail in cereal box tops to receive a telescope so they can see the well-known interstellar event known as Sally's comet, the problem is that it's too bright for them to see the stars. Now, Arnold and Gerald try to convince everybody in the city to turn off their lights. Apparently, no one cares about turning them off.

Abner Come Home: Abner, Arnold's beloved pet pig, sees a cat out the window and he runs out of the boarding house to chase the cat, which leads to him running far away from home. The next morning, Arnold wakes up to realize that his pet is gone. Later, he announces a search party so everyone can him help find Abner before something bad happens to him. The Sewer King: While Arnold goes out to bring Grandpa his golden watch from the store, he sees a gigantic hole in the ground that is being made. As he looks down at the deep hole, the watch falls out of his pocket and into the sewers. Now, Arnold and Gerald must go into the sewers to retrieve Grandpa's watch, only to find that it's in possession of the Sewer King.

False Alarm: Eugene is framed for pulling the fire alarm at school. Arnold interrogates his friends in a makeshift courtroom in the cafeteria to discover the real culprit. World Records: Arnold and his friends try to get into the Guinness Book of Records.

Magic Show: While Arnold is carrying out a magic trick, Helga runs away, gets knocked out, and experiences a dream where everyone on Earth is happier with her gone. 24 Hours to Live: Harold challenges Arnold to a fight, and is given 24 hours to live. *"24 Hours to Live" was the first episode made, originally as a pilot for the show, however this is a remade version for the series. If the series starts getting seasonal DVD releases, it may be a bonus feature to the season one DVD.

Arnold's Valentine: Arnold writes his long time crush, Ruth, a valentine inviting her to dinner. Meanwhile, Helga pretends to be his French pen pal Cecile and invites him to dinner at a restaurant next door.

Save The Tree: Arnold and other 4th graders try to save their tree house from being torn down for a Big Bob's Beepers establishment. New Teacher: After their last teacher, Mrs. Slovak, retired to become a pro golfer, Arnold's 4th grade class gets a new teacher, Mr. Simmons. They play the usual pranks for all new teachers, which he is familiar with. They don't bother him but when Harold eats his lunch, he loses all hope of being able to teach the class and quits. When Lieutenant Major Goose from the army ends up being their next teacher, the kids try to get Mr. Simmons back. *Note: There is no such rank as "Lieutenant Major" anywhere in the U.S. Military and he's a satire of Major Payne.

Helga's Love Potion: Helga buys an "out-of-love" potion to cease her obsession with Arnold. Gerald's Secret: Arnold helps Gerald learn to ride a bike after he discovers Gerald had a traumatizing experience with a bike once before. *Note: "Helga's Love Potion" gained minor controversy due to the scene after Helga wakes up from her dream, Helga reads a brief excerpt from her poetry book and afterwards says "What is this crap?!" as opposed to being on a kid's show. However, the scene was never cut and was kept in the episode.

The Big Scoop: The gang print the school newspaper, but Helga is disappointed when Arnold refuses to spread rumors through the paper. Helga starts her own with the help of Phoebe, but it is based entirely on lies. Harold's Kitty: Harold finds a cat that he soon grows attached to, only to find out that it belongs to an old lady who he thinks is mean.

Longest Monday: The kids try to avoid getting thrown in dumpsters and trash cans as part of the annual ritual of the fifth-graders. Eugene's Pet: After Arnold accidentally kills Eugene’s pet goldfish, he must find a replacement pet for him.

Monkey Business: Helga thinks she will die from a superstitious 19th century disease, monkeynucleosis, after coming into contact with a monkey. Big Caesar: Arnold and Gerald compete in a fishing competition to catch a legendary fish, Big Caesar.

Ransom: Timberly's doll gets stolen so Gerald and Arnold try to find it, only to find out Timberly was the thief. Ms. Perfect: A new student has come to PS118, Lila. Helga and the other girls play tricks on her in an attempt to drive her out of the social hierarchy.

Arnold's Halloween: A parody of the panic caused by Orson Welles' adaptation of "The War of the Worlds". The whole city mistakes a Halloween prank set up by Arnold and Gerald as an actual alien invasion.

Arnold Saves Sid: Arnold saves Sid from being "crushed" by a large sign, so Sid decides to become his servant to repay him, much to Arnold's chagrin. Hooky: Arnold and Gerald play hooky and have to sneak around everywhere to avoid being caught.

Freeze Frame: Arnold and Gerald accidentally film a man putting a note in the hollow of a tree. Thinking he might be suspicious, the pair decide to investigate his actions, and become embroiled in a conspiracy. Phoebe Cheats: Phoebe cheats in a poetry contest in her class by copying a poem out of a book. However, she thinks the statue she wins of Emily Dickinson is calling her a cheater, such is her guilty conscience.
10	30	"Mud Bowl / Gerald Moves Out"	November 16, 1997	33
Mud Bowl: Wolfgang and the other fifth graders challenge Arnold and his friends to an American football match, but Arnold has to first persuade his friends that his "plays" are good enough for them to win. Gerald Moves Out: Gerald, getting tired of his family bugging him, moves out of his home and into Arnold's boarding house-only to realize emancipation is not all it cracked up to be.

The High Life: Gerald becomes an entrepreneur out of selling watches until the market becomes saturated. Best Friends: Rhonda and Nadine fall out over working on a project at school, leaving Arnold to work with both of them separately.

Steely Phil: Arnold's grandpa enters a Chinese Checkers tournament to reclaim his pride lost forty years ago. Quantity Time: Helga's mom tries to let Helga and her father, Bob, bond.

Eating Contest: Arnold is encouraged to enter and win an eating contest, but he has to compete with a kid named Seymour, who is famous for being an eating machine. Rhonda's Glasses: Rhonda gets glasses and finds out what it is like to be a "geek".

Helga's Boyfriend: Helga uses Stinky as her boyfriend to try and make Arnold jealous. Crush on Teacher: Arnold develops a crush on teacher Miss Felter, thinking he is having dinner at her house, only to realize otherwise.

Hall Monitor: Phoebe becomes hall monitor and asks Helga for tips. She becomes overwhelmed by the "power" and soon everyone wants the old Phoebe back, even Helga once she realizes Phoebe's also giving her detentions. Harold's Bar Mitzvah: Harold runs away from his Bar Mitzvah for thinking he will retain his childhood this way.

Coach Wittenburg: Arnold and his friends get Coach Wittenberg to be their new bowling coach. Four-eyed Jack: The ghost of a former boarding house resident is believed to have been causing strange occurrences in the boarding house when Arnold and Gerald find an old pair of glasses.

Eugene Goes Bad: After finding out that his idol is a haughty, primped actor, Eugene sets out to become bad. What's Opera, Arnold?: Helga falls asleep and has her own "parody/dream" of the musical Carmen.

Tour de Pond: Arnold and a descendant of Arnold's grandpa's arch enemy, Rex Smythe Higgins III, compete in a remote-control boat race. Teachers Strike: Teachers of Arnold's school go on strike because of inadequate funding; Arnold and his friends are on cloud nine, only to find out that every lost school day will be taken from their summer vacation.

Runaway Float: After creating an idea for a parade float, Arnold is confident of it showing up in a parade. Partners: A lounge singer moves in to the Sunset Arms after renouncing his songwriter, who also moves into the boarding house.

Helga Blabs It All: While under the influence of laughing gas at the dentist's office, Helga unintentionally picks up the phone and confesses her undying love and affection for Arnold onto his answering machine. Now, Helga tries to sneak into Arnold's boarding house and steal the answering machine's tape before anyone hears it. Harold the Butcher: As punishment for shoplifting a ham, Harold is forced to work for Mr. Green at his butcher shop. Later, after his work shift to pay for the ham he stole is over, Harold soon learns that he actually likes his new after-school job and doesn't want to stop working there, much to the dismay of Mr. Green.

Dangerous Lumber: Arnold has a lethal baseball bat swing, causing him to unintentionally knock out other players, so he decides never to play the sport again, mere days before a baseball game against the fifth graders. Mr. Hyunh Goes Country: Mr Hyunh has a talent for country singing, so Arnold and Gerald, after recording a CD with him down the local studio, become his managers and make him a big star, much to Hyunh's dislike. Casa Paradiso: When Grandpa Phil decides to sell the boarding house to live in a condo in Florida, Arnold and the boarders band together to attempt to persuade Phil to change his mind. Gerald's Tonsils: Gerald's voice is deepened after having his tonsils removed-- just in time for a chorus recital.

Stinky Goes Hollywood: Stinky becomes the new Yahoo Soda poster child. But she is given a change of heart from Arnold, and attempts to stop the wedding.

Curly Snaps: Curly locks himself in the principals office after being skipped as the person who collects kick balls after recess. Preteen Scream: Phoebe wins a chance to meet her favorite singer, only to find that he lip-synchs.

Grandpa's Birthday: Grandpa thinks he is to die, as he claims that every member of his family dies when they turn 81. Road Trip: Big Bob has to go to a business meeting, meaning Helga and Miriam have to visit their aunt in South Dakota themselves, but instead get embroiled in a series of mishaps.

Sid's Revenge: Sid swears vengeance with a voodoo doll made out of a bar of soap carved into the form of Principal Wartz for giving Sid detention for a prank he didn't pull, and then believes that he really killed him. Roller Coaster: A roller coaster breaks down while Eugene and Arnold are at the top of the tallest drop of it.

The Aptitude Test: Helga thinks she's dim because she failed an aptitude test at school, only to discover she received Harold's test score, and vice versa. Oskar Gets a Job: Oskar gets a job as a newspaper deliverer but uses Arnold as cover for his laziness.

Arnold Betrays Iggy: Arnold goes to Iggy's house, and finds out he wears bunny pajamas. Swearing secrecy, Sid and Stinky nevertheless are able to guess what the secret is. Iggy's constant embarrassment forces Arnold to embarrass himself on his behalf. Helga and the Nanny: Bob hires a Nanny; Helga gets sick of her nanny bossing her around and tries to get her fired.

Career Day: Arnold gets paired with the bitter Jolly Olly Man as part of Career Day. Hey Harold!: Harold is invited to Rhonda's party and, after unwittingly befriending a girl known as 'Big' Patty, the two begin a somewhat complicated friendship.

Best Man: Coach Wittenburg assigns Arnold the duty of best man at his second wedding. Cool Party: Rhonda holds a cool-people-only party at her house. In retaliation, Arnold and his friends hold a "geek" party on the roof of his boarding house further up the street, leaving Rhonda's party deserted.

Helga's Show: Helga tells jokes about her classmates, who take offense to it. The Flood: The town is flooded and Arnold's class is trapped at school.

Biosquare: As a science assignment, Arnold and Helga have to work together, and get along with each other, for 24 hours in the Sunset Arms greenhouse. *Note: Despite Ms. Slovak leaving the show in Season 2, she returns in Biosquare, causing a continuity error.

Big Gino: After Sid works off a debt with loan shark Big Gino, the two become friends, but when Arnold thinks Sid has changed for the worse, Sid has to choose between the two. Jamie O. in Love: Gerald's elder brother, Jamie-O, has a sudden burst of kindness when he finds a girlfriend. Arnold and Gerald find out she's actually taking advantage of him.

Phoebe Skips: Phoebe is promoted to the sixth grade, but realizes that the girls there have ulterior motives to being her friends.

Curly offers to clean it for her in his parents' dry cleaning store on one condition: he and Rhonda agree to, publicly, be a couple, much to Rhonda's disgust. *When this episode was originally intended to air, on October 11, 2002, Nickelodeon began airing "Married" instead. The network did not catch the mistake until just after the second half of the episode began, when they switched to the regularly scheduled "Curly's Girl". After this gaffe, Nickelodeon did not rerun the episode until November 19, 2003, when they repeated the same mistake. On January 11, 2004, the episode was finally aired in full.
