Welcome to Wikipedia:WikiProject_Chemistry, I hope you'll enjoy working with us.
The main work at this project at the moment is setting standards for naming, etc. and coordinating things between the daughter projects. The more detailed work of writing content is mainly going on at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Chemicals (see their worklist) and Wikipedia:WikiProject_Isotopes at the moment. We are also trying to get a polymers wikiproject off the ground. Here are a few sites I find useful:

- List_of_chemistry_topics
- List_of_reactions
- List of organic compounds, List of inorganic compounds and List of biomolecules. If you write a new page on a compound be sure to add it to the list.
- Category:Chemistry (work your way down through the hierarchy to find other categories).
- Category:Chemical_compounds_by_element is one of the most useful category lists.
- WP:Chem style guide (draft) and naming conventions.
