Anlaby is a village 4 miles (6.4 km) west of Kingston upon Hull, and is in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is bordered by Anlaby Common (with which it forms the civil parish of Anlaby with Anlaby Common), Willerby, Kirk Ella and Hessle. It lies to the east of the B1232 road and on the B1231 road.

St Peter's Church, Anlaby

It has a number of shops, as well as the village hall, St. Peter's Parish Church, several cafes/restaurants and a gym. These are situated on the conjoined roads of Wilson Street and Hull Road. The shops included a number of charity shops, a small supermarket, a grocers, a Post Office, a pharmacist, a Fish and Chip shop (founded by a Kurd from Mardin), a Pizza/Burger/Kebab shop, a Chinese takeaway (founded by the Lai family and run by Mr Ken Lai), two bakers, and the award winning butchers Brian Fields. Anlaby's main pub is called the Red Lion and is well known for drunken disorder.
