Things to be cautious about
Books from print-on-demand and vanity presses like PublishAmerica, Booklocker, Outskirts Press, XLibris, AuthorHouse (and their imprint "1st books library"), Lulu, BookSurge, CreateSpace, Disc US Books Inc, ... (and their authors if this is their only claim to fame). Some of these are notable nonetheless, but those are few and far between, just like mySpace and YouTube celebrities...
