An extension and break of MRT track from Joo Koon MRT station. It will be extended for Tuas Extansion.

Joo Koon MRT Station (EW29) is a above-ground Mass Rapid Transit station on the East West MRT Line in Singapore as part of the Boon Lay extension announced by the Land Transport Authority in December 2004 to help people working in the Jurong Industrial Area travel faster. The station will open on 28 February 2009[1], and will be the western terminus of the East West Line instead of Boon Lay MRT Station thereafter.

The station will also be linked to a future bus interchange next to the station in 2009 when the extension is ready. The station is also close to the Singapore Discovery Centre and various military camps.

By 2015, the East West line will be extended to Tuas. A 14-km extension will be built westwards to Tuas, with five stations.
