The Bicycles |

The Bicycles is a power pop quartet from Toronto, Ontario comprised of Matt Beckett, Andrew Scott, Drew Smith and Dana Snell.
The Bicycles perform sweet sounding pop music similar to bands of the 1960's like The Archies and The Monkees. Their first album, The Good The Bad and The Cuddly featured a cover of the song Cuddly Toy originally performed by The Monkees. The band's albums also has a lo-fi sound [1], similar to Sloan's One Chord to Another, in it's attempt to achieve the similar sound of 60's musical groups.
The band often switches duties while performing with the members playing a wide variety of instruments. Beckett plays guitar, keys, bass and percussion, Scott plays guitar, trumpet, keys and bass, Smith plays guitar, and percussion, and Snell plays drums and flute. All four members of the band sing lead and background vocals on various songs.
Many of the bands members have performed in other Toronto area bands, most notably Scott who was a member of The Meligrove Band from 2002-2007.
The Bicycles have their albums released by independent Toronto based label Fuzzy Logic Recordings.
