Thanks for being a crusader of Justice, I thank you for your fight against vandals!!!! Jayson (talk) 04:00, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your warning

Hi, why did you revert and warn me for this edit? I added the picture of the species from Commons and used the filename as the edit summary. Surely a mistake from your behalf? --Albval (talk) 11:07, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Pune

Did you intend to tag Pune for speedy deletion? A revert got rid of the recently added spam links. Alabama Moon (talk) 11:08, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Definitely not, it seems to be a noteworthy article. I just noticed that IP added that link everywhere and mass reverted his edits. \ / () 11:11, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I thought it seemed odd. Either you've hit the wrong button or there's a bug in the software. Alabama Moon (talk) 12:21, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
More likely the former. :\ \ / () 12:22, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No absolutely my F*ckup - my apologies - working too hard and time for me to get to bed. Have left appropriate messages in the history to remind everyone you are a great editor. Feel free to punch my nose next time you see it.--VS talk 11:42, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Can't always request Steve to block himself for 1 second! :P (Only joking ;), I know who you feel and I've f**ked up with some reverts). BTW Welcome to the club of having a blog log but not having a valid block (Though mine wasn't valid I was still blocked for 24 hours. :S [1]). Bidgee (talk) 11:56, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
LOL! I'm only mad because my internet has decided to crack it, what can you do? :) \ / () 12:02, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Barnstar

The Random Acts of Kindness Barnstar
Let's see if I get this right. (1) Kindness at reverting vandal drivel at my user page, (2) Kindness by you to the community in maintaining vandal watch of an extraordinary nature, and (3) Extraordinary Kindness in maintaining good faith at my talk page (and not having a heart attack) after my "click the vandal 31 hour anon-block tab" slip up during a recent heavy vandalism session.--VS talk 11:59, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

For reverting the vandalism on my user page - persistent, isn't he! Cheers, Stephenb (Talk) 13:24, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there - thanks for watching my talk page. I'm actually testing Twinkle in my sandbox. Cheers Nelson50T 22:10, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, lol

First time I saw a vandal leave an apology along with their name and city! I'll just keep it because it is so rare. xD, cheers! Maxis ftw (talk) 01:06, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My userpage

Hi. Please be more careful when using Huggle. Having you revert changes that I'm making to my own userpage is a bit frustrating.--76.15.49.185 (talk) 11:35, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Scratch that, thanks for caring, I didn't realize I wasn't logged in.--76.15.49.185 (talk) 11:36, 4 November 2008 (UTC)(should be otherlleft)[reply]
No probs, hope I wasn't too much of a hassle. \ / () 12:01, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

Thanks a lot for reverting the vandalism on my talk page! Jackelfive(talk) 11:53, 5 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Throwball

You tagging of throwball for speedy deletion is a poor call. The page has been up for several years. Links to sites that mention the official rules are not considered spam. In addition, text in ALL CAPS does not imply non-notability. You could have done a google search for notability instead or listed it for AFD if you felt that the sport was non notable. Please do a thorough search before listing any articles for deletion. Reference, Reference I've listed two references that assert notability. =Nichalp «Talk»= 12:37, 5 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I see that you requested Gwen Gale to restore the article. No probs with it, but it my defence, there were no references, basically only the game and rules were there, and ALL CAPS strongly enforced the belief that this was a game made up one day. Being the Devil's Advocate here, but anyone could create an International Federation of Wikiball (for example). [2]. In your discussion with Gwen, she said that other editors and admins may have done the same. Yet, it is extremely encouraging to see it now, and I hope it continues to improve. (I guess you don't have much time for writing articles being a Bureaucrat nowadays eh? :) \ / () 20:58, 5 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No, please do not ever assume that! Always look at the history of the article before tagging it. And if ever in doubt, please do a Google news search to ascertain notability. After all we are humans and we are supposed to use good judgement, else a bot could tag articles written in all caps. I'll probably draw the court and put it in once I get the time. Actually, being a bureaucrat does not take too much of my time, its just that I get too many "requests to weigh in" on discussions that I end up getting bogged down with. It's hard to say no. :( =Nichalp «Talk»= 13:17, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kingsbury GAN

Hey mate, I see you've taken the plunge and nominated Kingsbury for GA. Seriously, the article is in pretty good shape, and I don't think it should have too much trouble passing for GA. However, I have noticed a few little things a reviewer may pick up on and thought I would give you the heads up so the areas can be fixed before the review. One concern is Kingsbury's enlistment date; it needs to be referenced, but also, as I have previously stated, a book I possess by Anthony Staunton (a leading Australian military historian, who is quite knowledgeable in areas pertaining to the Victoria Cross) Victoria Cross: Australia's Finest and the Battles They Fought as well as the World War Two Nominal Roll place it on 29 May 1940, which I'd say would be the more likely. The lead doesn't need references as long as the information it states is in the article (which is its purpose), so consider removing them and this section also needs to be referenced: "After capturing the town of Kokoda for the second time on 9 August, the Japanese began marching along the Kokoda Track towards Port Moresby. The 2,500 strong Japanese army met the weary 39th, 49th and 53rd Infantry Battalions, just 400 strong, at the town of Isurava. As the Japanese attacked, they managed to push the 53rd back to a junction behind Isurava."

These were the main issues I could see by having a quick look at the article, although I did not have a through read of the prose so there may be some minor issues there, but they shouldn't be hard to fix if picked up in the review. Well, I hope the above helps and I wish you luck with the GAN. Cheers, Abraham, B.S. (talk) 04:45, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks heaps for this - I found myself staring blankly at the article looking for faults, but you know how it is. I have made/making the adjustments now. Thanks again! \ / () 05:09, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You are very welcome. After a few reviews one comes to learn a fresh pair of eyes is always needed, as, no matter how much you look, there will nearly always be a few nit picks that need fixing/adjusting. Which actually reminds me, there is one other thing; the website access dates for the citations should be in the same format, as in YYYY-DD-MM (2008-14-11) or Day Month Year (14 November 2008). Cheers, Abraham, B.S. (talk) 06:24, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: FLC

First off, the lead needs to be expanded. The table should also be cleaned up and reformatted, as long as with it's key. A good example for this would be the Cy Young Award a recently promoted FL. If you need any further help, don't hesitate to ask me :).--SRX 23:19, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the reply. What would you think of merging the list with the main article? Will that make the page too long? Obviously it would need significant improvement they were merged. \ / () 05:45, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I think it will make the page too long and it will make it have too much prose versus a list itself.--SRX 15:03, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: You recent GA nomination

Sorry, but I didn't nominate that. Perhaps you were looking for User:Sunderland06? Cheers, –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 21:19, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Russel Jan Pinney

You reverted changes I made because of lack of source - would this do:

http://www.sfgate.com/webdb/prop8/?RecordID=60823&PageID=3&PrevPageID=2&cpipage=1&CPIsortType=&CPIorderBy=

To be honest this person's page is not notable anyway
