Talk:Shoshana Bean
Thank you to whoever created this page!
It's so cool to see this page here. I'm so proud of Shoshana.
I knew her back when she was a little girl. Well, actually, I knew her mother. Her mother, Felice, was one of my dance teachers at Jefferson High School, Portland, Oregon.
I remember Shoshana as a little girl of about 12 or so, often in the background, while those of us in The Jefferson Dancers were rehearsing. Also, I attended a performance of Evita in 1991. I noticed that Shoshana was one of the "children of Argentina." I remember thinking that it may've just been a case of the child of a dance teacher sort of being "encouraged" to be in performances. (That was somewhat common.) Little did I know that I saw the start of the career of a future Broadway performer.
I remember talking to Shoshana briefly about her role in the musical Evita. She was such a cute little girl. (Her mother, Felice, was one of my favorite dance teachers, by the way. She choreographed a production of The Wiz, which I had wanted to be in. But the performance and rehearsal schedule conflicted with The Jefferson Dancers, which I was a part of.)
A few years ago, I heard that Shoshana was in the musical production of Hairspray. I was really proud of her. But I had never heard Shoshana sing solo until last night when I saw the Vh1 special tribute to Aretha Franklin. I was awe-struck! I had no idea she could sing like that!
Shoshana will have no memory of me, because her mother no doubt had hundreds (if not thousands) of dance students over the year (her mother may remember me). But it is still so awesome to see what Shoshana has done. Thanks again! Aesculapius75 19:06, 16 October 2005 (UTC)
