Bizarre

Rufus Johnson, better known as Bizarre (born in Detroit, Michigan on July 5 1976), is an American recording artist, best known for his work with Detroit hip-hop group, D12. More recently Rufus Johnson was featured on season 3 of VH1's Celebrity Fit Club.

He has appeared in many magazines including Rolling Stone and The Source.

In a recent interview with DJBooth.net, Bizarre stated that D12's untitled third studio album is half way done and should be released sometime in early 2008.[1] In even more recent news, it was confirmed that Bizarre will Perform on certain dates for Twiztid's Toxic Terror Tour, which also includes Boondox, DJ Clay, and Project Born.[2] Bizarre has a song named Juggalo on DJ Clay's Let Em Bleed The Mixtape Volume 2. In the song he states that he is a Juggalo.

An interview stating that Bizarre was interested in helping up and coming artists was played on the Tim Westwood show on BBC Radio 1 in January 2008. Subsequently Bizarre featured heavily on the single "Who the F**K are You" with UK rapper SamuelVictor. When the track was premiered on BBC Radio 1 on September 11th 2008 the DJ and Producer recounted the story and said that it was the first time that a UK rapper had worked with Bizarre or D-12, discounting their work with Gorillaz, as only D-12 rapped on the track.[3]

However, SamuelVictor was unaware that Bizarre had previously contributed vocals to the song 'Beer Goggles' by UK rap/rock band MDMA. Bizarre is set to appear in the promo video for the song which will be released as a single in 2009. [4]

Bizzare is known for his extreme lyrics, which often include references to rape, incest, and murder.

Early career

When rapper Proof formed the group D12 he asked Bizarre to join. Bizarre joined and went on to work on all of D12's albums including the hits My Band, Purple Pills and American Psycho 2. Bizarre also features on some of Eminem's albums with D12.

Red Head Records

In 2005, Bizarre started his own record label, as a subsidiary of Shady Records. Some of the artists featured on Hannicap Circus are signed to this label, including Sindee Syringe and Young Miles. He has also signed KB, formerly of Scarface's Facemob. Bizarre previously rapped for Preston Records, working alongside well known rappers such as Preston and JBanks.
