Carson Jones Daly (born June 22, 1973) is an American television host. Before his present position as host of NBC's Last Call with Carson Daly, Daly was a prominent VJ on MTV's Total Request Live, and a DJ for the Southern California based radio station KROQ. He has also hosted several notable specials including "Macy's 4th of July Spectacular" on NBC and "NBC's New Years Eve with Carson Daly". He also co-founded an independent record label named 456 Entertainment. [1]

Personal life

Born in Santa Monica, California, Daly attended Santa Monica High School and was a member of the school's golf team before graduating in 1991. He is of Irish descent[2] and has worked with Guinness on local "Proposition 3-17" to make Saint Patrick's Day an official holiday.[3]

Daly's mother, Pattie Daly Caruso, is a breast cancer survivor who was honored at Lifetime’s, "Breast Cancer Heroes Luncheon," in 2004. She and Carson have become breast cancer activists.[4] He has been spotted wearing Livestrong bracelets on numerous occasions.

Daly and his girlfriend, Siri Pinter, are expecting their first child in the spring of 2009. [5]

Last Call

On January 7, 2002, Daly began hosting a thirty-minute late-night talk show on NBC called Last Call with Carson Daly.
