1000 Stars is the upcoming debut album by Australian singer and former Rogue Traders lead singer Natalie Bassingthwaighte, to be released on February 21, 2009.

Background

In 2006, Natalie signed a record deal with Sony BMG to record a solo album. She began work on the album, but not until mid-2008 did any major progress begin. She travelled to London, Norway and the US to write and record the album. She worked with some of the biggest names in pop, including Chris Braide (James Morrison, Will Young, Kylie Minogue) Paul Barry (Cher, Tina Turner), Steve Anderson (Kylie Minogue), Jimmy Harry (Pink, Britney Spears) and rising Norwegian star Ina Wroldsen[1]. She also wrote a song that appears on the album with partner Cameron McGlinchey, called "Feel the Flow".[2]. The album's title was first announced in November 2008.[1].

Natalie lists the tracks "1000 Stars" (written & produced by Chris Braide) and "In His Eyes", which is about her grandad, as her favourite tracks she's written for the album in GQ Magazine (Issue Oct/Nov 08).[3] It has been announced that the second single off her album will be called "Someday Soon," which will be released on January 10, 2009.

"Catch Me If You Can" is used in a Network Ten advertisement promoting its new international show, Lie to Me.
