I've removed the external links as they both went to commercial sites selling anklets.

Also, unless someone can provide a citation for the 'Sexual connotation' section, it really needs to be removed.

There are various references, some commercial, some non-commercial that refer to the use of an anklet as one method used to identify women involved in the hot wife lifestyle. There seems to be no concensus on wither or not it is worn on the left or right ankle. In fact, it seems from the various photos available on the web, that they can be worn on either ankle. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Markabell (talkcontribs) 02:12, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, if the those references you reference could Wikiprove said usage, that would be a good addition. As of now, that portion has been tagged since 9/2007. 66.191.19.217 (talk) 20:12, 31 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bondage?

Is/was there a cultural conotation (at least in the late 1980s-early 1990s) that wearing an anklet is/was a way for the wearer to identify themselves as being into the sexual fetish of Bondage?

Anklets are worn by HOT WIVES on the UK swingers scene to let other males know they are avialable.

Picture

Can't it be replaced by a picture that doesn't show a ugly foot? -- 200.100.16.83 (talk) 07:53, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That would be nice. ;) 66.191.19.68 (talk) 21:09, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
