IMPORTANT

Be smart. Don't tag images, whose creators have been unknown for centuries, for "speedy deletion," for having an "image source problem," or for somehow violating the insanely obtuse "fair use" policy.

If you don't want to be smart, don't tell me. Idiocy is disease. I don't need what passes for your "intelligence" to infect me. If you can't be smart, be considerate, and piss off in another direction.

NOTE TO DELETIONISTS

As you remove more great content from Wikipedia, you lessen the utility of Wikipedia. You are doing the world a favor by deleting great content. You are doing the world's knowledge a favor by preventing the "wisdom of the crowds" from taking root. Please continue destroying Wikipedia. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Clan Ramsay (Plant Badge).png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sdrtirs (talk) 03:43, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia has rules

I'm just applying rules that Wikipedia made. If rules aren't good, it will be greater if they changed. What will be Wikipedia without rules? Copyright violator??? Please, have sense in your words! I'm not a vandal!!! And I'm not inventing rules, they exist. Notifying people of their lacks is also a process of knowledge. Once again, please refrain your words.--Sdrtirs (talk) 06:05, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia has capacity for undelete content

If some content has been unfairly deleted in Wikipedia, anyone can request a deletion review. You can see more at Wikipedia:Deletion review. Regards, Sdrtirs (talk) 06:10, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Image:Clan Ramsay (Tartans).png, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Invalid fair-use claim & copyright vio. This image is merely a scaled down version of the following: [5][6]. A free version can be created. Uploader has pulled similar stunts before - taking similar media from websites.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on [[Talk:Image:Clan Ramsay (Tartans).png|the article's talk page]] explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Celtus (talk) 05:36, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Page blanking, incivility

Care to explain these - [1] & [2] ? It doesn't seem very nice at all. Kevin (talk) 09:39, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's also not very nice to consistently put up the uploaded content of a longtime contributor for speedy deletion, without prior notice, and then proceed to claim that contributor has "pulled similar stunts before" as though such a pejorative assertion is proper rationale for speedy deletion. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Logo obsidianent.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Logo obsidianent.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 06:37, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Help understanding Notability and Verifiability

Hello, I pulled your name off of the Threshold DRV page, and unfortunately, someone has already re-created the Threshold article while the DRV is still in effect. I've been unable to get an answer as to whether this is forbidden, or what will happen if the DRV is overturned and the old article is restored while the current article is under an Speedy AfD. There is a HUGE discussion on reliability, notability, verifiability and everything else here at Threshold's talk page. I can't tell if the guy there is just making things up or what since it doesn't seem to jive with how I read Wikipedia's guidelines and policies. I'm about to rip my hair out. Could you go look and tell me what the heck is going on and what will happen with the article if the Speedy AfD goes through whlie the DRV is going on. Will both articles be deleted? Will this count against the article for spamification? (I don't actually know what that is. I just read it somewhere.) There's so many people speaking from authority, but I can't tell what is correct and what isn't. I don't even know what I'm doing wrong and what I have to prove as notable. Any advice you can give me would be highly appreciated. Kallimina (talk) 04:25, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. Thanks for stopping by to reply anyway. Kallimina (talk) 17:26, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
