A St. John's University class -- English 4994 ("The World Split Open - Contemporary Women Essayists") -- is contributing to Wikipedia during Spring 2009. Our collective goals are to bring a selection of articles on contemporary women essayists to featured article status (or as near as possible).

This project is listed under School/University Projects.

Feel free to discuss this project on the English 4994 Project Talk Page.

Goals

- To improve Wikipedia's coverage of selected articles:

Most of these articles are now "Stub" or "Start."

- To practice collaborative writing and the discussion that surrounds collaborative writing

- To be active on the Discussion pages of these articles (suggesting additions, edits, etc., as well as discussing additions, edits etc. made to the articles), research and post bibliographic information to be used in the article

- To add to the articles and edit within the articles

- To submit these articles (if and when they're ready) to Wikipedia review processes, such as did you know, peer review, good article assessment and featured article assessment.
