It's a start...

User:Hanuman Das had (well-intentionedly) made this page a redirect to Vairocana. I've corrected this (as they are distinct) with the briefest of stubs. Clearly a lot more is needed, namely:

  • precise dates of birth and death
  • standard formatting and style for biographical information
  • name in Tibetan characters
  • refernces and citations for texts that Vairo translated

copyright?

I'm afraid i did almost the same as User:B9 hummingbird hovering (see disc.), but i had the idea to integrate information from Rigpawiki and RanjungYesheWiki. But these two are wikis, while it was tought that B9 had taken his info at the Ranjung Yeshe website. But these two latter are exactly the same. Can someone tell me if this is o.k.?

Anyway it would be kind of easy to rewrite the whole thing from scratch, with the help of The Great Image, the recently published bio of our dear Vairotsana. I will do that soon, if i can get on with some lingeringly procrastinated contributions i have on fr.wikipedia.org. Please write back to me over there, as i have more chance to notice your reply...click my name to link through > Vajrallan 03:33, 12 May 2007 (UTC) [reply]

Some more literature?

http://www.dzogchen.de/dzogchen/lehre/yantrayoga/ A text is mentioned from 8th century, in English it might be tranlated solar/lunar yab-yum, or union of sun and moon or union of male and female. Chögyal Namkhai Norbu has written a commentary about it.
