History of Marshfield, Massachusetts

You people and their bots move just TOO fast! As the history of Marshfield section was getting way too long for the town's main page, I created the History of Marshfield, Massachusetts. I cut and pasted the history, but had to make sure it made the transfer okay before removing from its prior page. The27thMaine (talk) 18:19, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, gotcha. I've added the split-to and split-from tags to the relevant talk pages. If you have the splitting desire again, I suggest you add those first (or put a similar notice on the talk page). You'll confuse the heck out of the new page patrol if you don't. – PranksterTurtle (talk) 18:29, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, never done a split before! The27thMaine (talk) 18:31, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No problem -- neither have I! – PranksterTurtle (talk) 18:33, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: History of Marshfield, Massachusetts. Just so you know, the last two revisions by an IP address ([1]) that you reverted ARE actually the author of those words. She must not have been logged in when she edited it. I'm removing that page from my watchlist anyways. That other week was stressful enough, and now I'm staying clear of Marshfield! Thanks for all the help. The27thMaine (talk) 02:20, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Thanks for the fix to my userpage! :) Dwain (talk) 18:24, 24 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Winged vs. Wingged

Do you believe that the word is spelled with two g's? Alansohn (talk) 03:25, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty sure it's not, and dictionary.com agrees with me. It's possible that I'm wrong, though. – PranksterTurtle (talk) 03:29, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

i would now like to say that PT has been a nusiense and should be banned from all wikia articles and messageing —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nevernuke (talkcontribs) 13:13, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

templated in error

Hiya...I'm thinking you templated me by mistake. It's no biggie, but I wanted to make sure you had no real issue with my edits. Reply on my talk page if you have any concerns. See ya, Tiderolls 12:46, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

LOL...been there. Thanks for the revert. Later, Tiderolls 12:50, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

on another subject

Low priority inquiry; Is Huggle a granted right or can anyone download it? Seems you (or someone else with HG) beats me to many vandalism reverts I attempt. Anyway, answer when ya can. Thanks. Tiderolls 13:11, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

All you need is rollback permissions, which you can request from here. Warning: Huggle is addicting, and may result in unintended late nights. – PranksterTurtle (talk) 13:15, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ain't it the truth! Great work on the recent change patrol by the way PranksterTurtle. SpitfireTally-ho! 13:16, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hmmm...addicting...sounds too good to be true. I second Spitfire's kudos on the patrolling. Spitfire seems to have their act together as well. Tiderolls 13:25, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Guess we're all vandalism-reverting fiends. :) – PranksterTurtle (talk) 00:37, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

My regrets

As I look out over the things having been done, I have very many sorrows in my iron heart. I have Latin teacher dying of lechtrechonodes and she is in the belief that nobody cares anymore about Sallust and I am trying to show her other wise. I see that I have erred! I will be a good person from ever more and shall not trouble anybody.

However I have friends with same concerns but different sufferings who may have learned differently. I hope they will be good, but two things are not the same: learning by hearsay and by experience. 128.197.244.207 (talk) 13:03, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy Deletion of Integration Point, Inc

Integration Point, Inc is a corporation and when writing the article on this corporation - I followed the similar format of one of our competitors, Management Dynamics.

Under the reason for speedy deletion, it stated A7 - that it was written as an advertisement.

My question to you, how can I edit Integration Point, Inc to merit as a Wikipedia article, in other words - how is Management Dynamics page so different from the one I created on Integration Point?

This is my first time creating an article on Wikipedia, so any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

ThanksJmiles1107 (talk) 13:06, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! It seems that Integration Point, Inc. was deleted both because of criteria G11, which says that it was written like an advertisement, and criteria A7, which says that it was about a company and made no argument for inclusion in Wikipedia.
The first criteria would be relatively easy to meet -- just leave out a lot of the discussion about the products and really strive to use a neutral point of view.
The second one is significantly more difficult, and I would advise you to read the notability standards for companies. From the standards:

A company, corporation, organization, team, religion, group, product, or service is notable if it has been the subject of significant coverage in secondary sources. Such sources must be reliable, and independent of the subject.

If you can come up with these sources and they cover the company in some depth, then if you do end up creating the article again, make a case for notability by referencing them in the text.
Also keep in mind that you seem to have a conflict of interest in creating this article. While this does not mean that you absolutely can't create the article, it's not a very good idea. The general thinking is that if a company is notable, somebody not associated with the company would take the time to make an article for it.
The Management Dynamics article managed to survive the initial new page review because they did have secondary sources that referenced them. I still think it's borderline for notability (I might propose it for deletion), but they did make their case.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me here. – PranksterTurtle (talk) 13:20, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Integration Point, Inc

Thank you for your suggestions and comments. I will continue working on this article and add in notable secondary sources, as well as address the advertisement issue. Hopefully, the next post of the article will meet the Wikipedia standards.

Thanks again! Jmiles1107 (talk) 18:37, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Chutengodian Bible

I wish to protest the claim of a copyright violation on the page Chutengodian Bible from my website Godless: A book review

I am Eric Bauer. I posted this. I coped it directly from my website as indicated. My website does not have a copyright on it. I directly contacted Pete Hautman and talked to him, and he gave me full permission to use and reprint any part of the book for my website and Wikipedia. He gave me direct permission. There are no copyright infringments here. please instruct me on a more formal way to make that clear in my article. Eric Bauer. Politicalnerd08 (talk) 02:04, 28 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I declined your request for speedy deletion of David B. Lacquement. He is a major general. This is a claim to significance/importance. A7 has a lower threshold for inclusion than W:N, the article only has to make a claim to significance or importance. I couldn't help but notice that some of your other CSD's have been declined. You might want to review the essay Why I hate Speedy Deleters or Field guide to proper speedy deletion.---I'm Spartacus! NO! I'm Spartacus! 05:20, 28 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry! Will do. – PranksterTurtle (talk) 14:09, 28 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Learning by hearsay

I cannot but to apologize dearly to you, my friend, for Sallust having become another. As I have said I have [ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ADD ]ADD and cannot pay attention. So I sit with a book and read until I can't and then make Sallust otherwise. I understand this is wrong and that I have no business doing it. Yet still in my heaviness of heart, I cannot throw away all I have done. WOuld you lave me helpless? Much love for the new Year. Operafield defender (talk) 18:34, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
