Anthony John Bailey, OBE, KCSS, ComIH, is a campaigner engaged in furthering cultural, educational, commercial and inter-religious relations between Europe and the Arab world. He is also a public relations consultant [1].

He was born in London in 1970 and graduated in 1991 from the University College London in Contemporary East European Studies and later studied at Budapest University of Economics in Hungary, and Sofia and Veliko Turnovo Universities in Bulgaria.

Bailey was appointed in 1999 as Chairman of Painting & Patronage [2] by HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal of Saudi Arabia - currently Governor of Makkah Region. He is a counsellor to the King Faisal Foundation and a director of the Saudi-British Society in London. [3].

He is a Labour Party supporter and donor in the UK [4]. Bailey is the Chief Policy Adviser of the Foreign Policy Centre [5] and an adviser on education to the DCSF [6]. He also hold positions with several educational trusts, charities, inter-religious and European-Arab bilateral organisations [7].

Anthony Bailey was awarded the OBE in 2008 for services to inter-religious relations and charity [8]. He has also been decorated by several foreign nations [9] including Bulgaria, Costa Rica, Lebanon, Morocco, Panama, Portugal [10], and the Vatican [11].

The Times of London of October 2007 announced Bailey’s marriage to HSH Princess Marie-Therese von Hohenberg [12] of the Ducal House of Hohenberg from Austria.
