Pacific Northern Academy (PNA) is a private, independent school located in Anchorage, Alaska. Founded in 1995, it holds the unique position of being the only school in Alaska affiliated with the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and the Pacific Northwest Association of Independent Schools (PNAIS). The school is also the the first college-prepatory school in Alaska to be independent.[1]

PNA has been named GreatSchool's Parent's Choice for private schools in Alaska.[2]

Classes

Pacific Northern Academy serves 133 students in early kindergarten through eighth grade.[3] PNA has a small class size — a maximum of eighteen students per grade. Pacific Northern Academy offers a program that incorporates visual arts, performing arts, and community service.

The school also offers judo, fencing, and chess for its athletics curriculum.
