Futurice Oy is a Finnish company developing online- and mobile software. The company has for example developed Finland's largest Photo sharing service Kuvaboxi. Futurice is one of the fastest growing companies in the Finnish information technology branch. It was founded in 2000 and currently employs over 60 professionals. Futurice's revenue has grown annually on average 95% each year. It's main office is in Lauttasaari, Helsinki but in January 2009 a Tampere branch office was opened. Futurice employs Agile software development methodologies.

One of Europe's fastest growing tech companies

In the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Futurice has been placed first in 2008, 5th in 2006 sijalle 5 [1] and 13th in 2007.[2] Futurice's revenue in 2006 was about 2 million euros. [3] and the projected revenue for 2008 is 5,2 million euros with positive profit. In the January 2008 IEEE Consumer Communications and Networking (CCNC) conference was introduced the Apache-, MySQL- ja PHP-development environment for Symbian/S60 version, Personal Apache MySQL PHP (PAMP) that was developed in collaboration with Nokia and Futurice. Futurice is also prominent in a specialist role in the Forum Nokia section Talk to the Guru, directed towards other application developers. [5]. Futurice is also one of the first European companies accepted as a member of Apple's iPhone-developer program.[6]
