Shweta Pandit

Shweta Pandit is an Indian playback singer in Bollywood.

At the age of five, Shweta Pandit worked with Ilayaraja for Anjali. She has sung in various films even as a child-singer including Pardes, Raju Chacha, Saaz and many more.

She has learnt Hindustani [Indian] Classical music from her grandfather and Classical Vocalist, Sangeet Acharya Pandit Pratap Narayan, elder brother of legendary Indian Classical Vocalist Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj.

She entered Bollywood with Aditya Chopra's Mohabbatein at the age of 12. Shweta happens to be the niece of the Jatin-Lalit duo.

Her elder sister Shradha Pandit is also a playback singer. Her elder brother Yash Pandit is a bollywood and television actor. Her father is an acclaimed tabla player and music composer, Vishwaraj Pandit.

Her other Hits include Yash Raj Films like Neal N Nikki, Ram Gopal Varma films like Naach, Sarkar Raj, Shiva etc.

Her other superhits include films like Partner, Welcome and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and many more.

Shweta's First Television Reality Show MISSION USTAAD on 9X got her Rave Reviews and was judged by the Music Genius, Mr. AR Rahman and the Legendary Writer, Mr. Javed Akhtar.

The show was one of the biggest television series presented by the United Nations and had accomplished singers from Bollywood performing together for various causes for the United Nations.

She has also sung for Telugu movies like "Kotha Bangaru Lokam", "Allari Bullodu" and "Bhagyalakshmi Bumper Draw".


Her devotional albums titled 'Mahalakshmi' with Shree Pandit Jasraj, 'Dashavatar' with Ratan Mohan, 'Ganesha' with Shankar Mahadevan and Sukh Samruddhi Suraksha with Shrradha Pandit, are some of the highest selling devotional albums from Times Music.


Shweta is also the voice in the Indian released version of the very popular Disney Film, High School Musical Part 1 and 2.

Her other films include Fight Club, Gayab, Aetbaar, Nayee Padosan, Haasil, Rudraksh, RGV Ki Aag, Kaash Mere Hote, Deshdrohi, James, Phoonk, The Perfect Husband, Dil Kya Kare, Julie, Soch, Stumped, Ye Kya Ho Raha Hai and many more.

Shweta Pandit Productions has also recently released the debut album of Shrradha Pandit's 'TERI HEER' in October 2008, with Sony Music, India.

Her Debut Record Album Main Zindagi Hoon released when she was only 16 years old with Virgin Records, India.

Her other albums include Aplam Chaplam - the Star Mix featuring Superstar, Salman Khan in the Music Video.

She has sung in various Indian and Western languages and performed all around the world since the age of 11.

Shweta has also featured in the Coke Commercial [TVC] in 2009 featuring Cricketer Gautam Gambhir and Directed by Acclaimed Dibakar Banerjee.

She has also featured on the cover of Rave Magazine in 2008, as one of the youngest achievers in bollywood music.
