A Fat Sandwich is a very large submarine-type sandwich filled with an array of different foods including French fries. With several different variations of the actual ingredients, some of the most popular consist of mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers, jalapeño poppers, and pizza bites.

While the birth of the Fat Sandwich came several years ago at the Rutgers University Campus, many different variations of the sandwiches are sold at several dining establishments around the country, most notably Fat Sandwich Company located in Norman, Oklahoma on the University of Oklahoma campus and in Champaign, Illinois on the University of Illinois campus.
