"Say OK" is the second single by American pop singer Vanessa Hudgens on her debut album V, which was written by Arnthor Birgisson and Savan Kotecha.
Song information
The song was about a girl seeking reassurance of her boyfriend's affection for her. The music video of the song was featured on Radio Disney Jams, Vol. 10[1] and on Family Jams under Walt Disney Records. It was released on March 27, 2007 in U.S. and on May 28, 2007 in the United Kingdom.[2] Hudgens had performed this on the High School Musical: The Concert Tour, the Identified Summer Tour 2008.
Music videos
- First Version
The first version was released strictly for the Disney Channel only, and it takes place on the High School Musical: The Concert Tour in Seattle, Washington. The video premiered the same day as the release of the single. This version contains landmarks, including the Union Station and the Broadway Bridge in Downtown Portland. Additionally, Hudgens' younger sister, Stella Hudgens, appears numerous times. It was directed by Chris Applebaum, who is also the director for Hudgens' first single, Come Back To Me[3]
- Second Version
The world premiere of the second, and official, was on March 16, 2007 on Disney Channel. The video was shot at a beach and a bowling alley in Los Angeles, which also co-stars Zac Efron. The official video uses a new mix of the song, which is slightly different from the album version. It is currently unknown whether or not this version will be released for purchase, but it will be the version sent to mainstream U.S. radio stations. It starts out with Hudgens walking inside the bowling alley and sees Efron getting shoes to bowl. It ends with both of them and their friends frolicking at the beach. The goal of this new video was the setting on sale on iTunes, and the version of the song of the clip was used for the diffusion out of radio. The second version was directed by Darren Grant.[4]
