G-Force is a 2009 action comedy film produced by Jerry Bruckheimer for Walt Disney Pictures in Disney Digital 3-D. Written by Cormac and Marianne Wibberley, the film is the directorial debut of Hoyt Yeatman, whose earlier work includes in the area of visual effects. Yeatman has previously worked with Bruckheimer on a number of films, including The Rock, Armageddon, and Kangaroo Jack.[2] The US release date is July 24, 2009.[3]

This is the first live-action Disney movie to be produced in Disney Digital 3-D, not including two concert films, Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert and Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience.

This is also Jerry Bruckheimer's first 3-D film.

The film features the voices of Nicolas Cage, Sam Rockwell, Jon Favreau, Penélope Cruz, Steve Buscemi and Tracy Morgan.

Plot

The film revolves around a team of trained secret agent animals: guinea pigs Darwin (team leader) (Sam Rockwell), Juarez (martial arts) (Penélope Cruz), Blaster (weapons/transportation) (Tracy Morgan), mole Speckles (cyber intelligence) (Nicolas Cage), and fly Mooch (high-tech surveillance) (Edwin Louis). The team takes on a mission for the US government to stop evil billionaire Leonard Saber (Bill Nighy), who plans to destroy the world with household appliances. Before they can accomplish their mission, the government shuts them down and they are sentenced to a pet shop. Darwin, Juarez, Blaster, Speckles, Mooch, and their new friends Hurley (Jon Favreau) and hamster Bucky (Steve Buscemi) will escape the cage to defeat the villain, stop his threat, and save the world.[4]

The first trailer of the movie premiered with Bedtime Stories and was later shown with Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience and Hannah Montana: The Movie.

The second trailer of the movie was released with the North American release of Earth and was later shown with Up.

The music video for Flo Rida's song "Jump" has been released, featuring clips from the movie.

Video Game

The video game based on the movie will be released for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, Wii, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DS and Microsoft Windows in July 2009.[4]
