Mauricio Baldivieso (born 22 July 1996) is a Bolivian footballer who plays for Club Aurora.

Club career

The 12-year-old striker is the youngest player in the history of professional football's Premiership debut. Baldivieso was on Sunday evening (local time) replaces in the 81st Minute in the match for Aurora Cochabamba against La Paz FC (0:1). "This is historic," cheered the newspaper "La Prensa" on Monday. After five minutes he was attacked by opponents Henry Alaca brutally who was on the right ankle, the small Mauricio, who on Wednesday will be 13 years old, broke into tears, but could continue playing[1]. In July 2009 he played his first match in Aurora's shirt just a few days short of his 13th birthday when he came on as a late substitute in a Clausura fixture against La Paz.[2]

Personal

Baldivieso is son of longtime national player and current Aurora coach Julio Cesar Baldivieso[3].
