  • Ayas (city), the ancient city of Aegea and medieval Ajazzo, now a small town in Yumurtalık district, Adana Province, Turkey
  • Ayas, Italy, a town and comune in the Aosta Valley region of north-western Italy
  • Ayas (band) (1987–1994), a former Armenian heavy-metal band, known for contributing to the origination of the oriental-heavy-metal genre
  • Amah (Hindi: ayah), particularly in East Asia and India, a woman employed by a family to clean, look after children, etc.
  • Ayah, (Arabic for "miracle"), each line individually of the 6236 lines of the Qu'ran
