Chip

Jahmaal Noel Fyffe, (born 26th November 1990) is a rapper from Tottenham, London, England. He is best known by the stage name Chipmunk , which was originally a nickname given to him by an older boy on his estate.[1] He won the Best UK Newcomer at the MOBO Awards 2008.[2]

Career

Early life and breakthrough

At 14 years of age Chipmunk released his first mixtape, Whatever The Weather Volume 1, and by the age of 16 had also released the mixtapes, Whatever The Weather Volume 2, and League of My Own. In June 2008, Chipmunk released the free promotional record Guess Who?. The two most notable songs from this mixtape are "Who Are You" and "My Life" both of which received substantial airplay on BBC 1Xtra.[citation needed]

I Am Chipmunk (2009 - present)

He has released his new album called I Am Chipmunk which includes well known song "Chip Diddy Chip", and new single "Diamond Rings". On the 7th of July 2009 Chipmunk appeared on C4's Big Brother's Little Brother. Chipmunk is currently touring with Tinchy Stryder and in early 2009 appeared as a surprise guest on N-Dubz's UK tours.
