Early life

[edit]

Chipmunk is of Jamaican descent. Just a note that an Early Life section should be added soon. Some possible info to be added could be that he got 9 GCSEs (all the ones he took) - 4 Bs and 5 As. The fact that his nickname was from the guy from his estate who later passed away but it was kept for "symbolic reasons". These two are from an interview on the Radio 1 Chart Show 12th July 2009. He suport Arsenal fc from a very young age, despite living in tottenham, he also was very close with 'wretch 32' at a young age.

Also, someone's trying to have a shallow 'go' at this person by calling their estate "mellow soft". Right, like living on a hard estate is somehow better, and being more psychopathic is somehow better? Sadly there's such a culture out there... Sad if that's all you have. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.113.100.216 (talk) 21:02, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Another note, on the day of release, it has reached #1 on itunes in less than 24 hours. —Preceding unsigned comment added by BiliPiper (talkcontribs) 13:36, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If someone does eventually create a page for the upcoming single "Oopsy Daisy", a review from digital spy is available. I have pasted the link to the review. If someone wants to use the review, it's here.

Another review is available:

Debut Album ?

[edit]

Why does it say "Chipmunk released his debut album I Am Chipmunk on 12 October 2009"? Can't be his debut, if he released "League Of My Own" in 2007, right? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.179.150.110 (talk) 22:48, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That was a mixtape. I Am Chipmunk is his first studio album released by a proper label.

Vandalism & protection

[edit]

I semi-protected the article for a few days due to too much vandalism being mixed in with a ton of undiscussed/unsourced edits - someone who knows about the subject may want to comb through the article and check for vandalism, as the page has seen a lot of acitvity in the last couple days. AlexiusHoratius 19:40, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

he is NOT j from s club juniors! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.13.186.187 (talk) 00:09, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I was actually the one that requested protection of this page, I came across it in the Recent Changes section and I requested it because of the sheer amount of edit warring and vandalism that seemed to be going on. Does anyone have a source that to prove whether or not this person is from S Club Juniors? If they provide a referenced source that may prevent people trying to change it. Just a passing suggestion, unfortunately I don't know anything about this person :) --5 albert square (talk) 17:37, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The vandalism has become an issue again so I've requested semi-protection. It seems to be on different lines this time, mainly claiming he's dead but with all manner of silliness thrown in. I don't get the abiding fascination with this man (or know who he is, to be honest) but this page is clearly something of a draw for certain users who don't contribute constructively to use a rather polite euphemism. Semi proteced

[edit]

After constant vandalism it has become nesessary to protect the subject of the article. Any editor is very welcome to contribute constructively. If any editors want to add some content and can't because of the protection please request here and I will watch and respond, thanks. Off2riorob (talk) 16:10, 16 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
